Looks like it's mostly just a turn flat track...there are jumps but it looks like it's 85% percent a flat turn track...am i wrong ? I'm thinking about heading Down for this weekends race for my son to ride
I feel like more and more tracks are doing what this one does and has timed practices(not including race days). Tracks here are just straight open practice for however long until they water and turn it 3 or 4 times a day or more depending how busy
It’s all in how busy they are, here in New England on the weekends the tracks get busy enough they split it into classes. Like C class, A/B riders then kids/women and each class is 15 minutes and it just rotates as the day goes. Keeps every one safe and the C guys away from the fast guys
I'm just a barely beginner and I am almost 50. I probably won't ever be as good as you are but I want to jump 100ft I jump 70 to 80 feet maximum in 4th and 5th gear. I don't hammer down like you because it is scary.
videos are amazing mate keep up the good work. I reckon if you want some more views you will just need to get a bit quicker mate. But i defintly see a big potential in your videos mate.
Tgat track looks great and all but from what i can see ur more of honda/ktm type rider your not letting the kx wirk its magic by maxing your wrist out let it rip bro kx has high med to top end
hey im rlly new to like dirtbikes in general i jus got my first one like a month ago but im going to my first track in a couple days and i was just curios what gear i should be in during most of being in the track
Nice! I talked to one of yall at CGI that Sunday. CGI was a muddy shit show that day! Even though they tried to make it appear on IG that the ride was still great! LOL. That rain made things crazy deep in the ruts!
I recommend shifting up a gear, I know you weren’t comfortable and this is relatively old but, you can pin point your arm pump to holding all of your body weight up when you’re engine is slowing you down that much. Shift up a gear, and arch your back, turn your elbows out, this will take all the leverage off your forearms and put it on your shoulders and back. Also stand on the balls of your feet (right behind your toes), and turn your toes in toward the cases, this will force you to squeeze the bike with your knees, also reducing pump.

Smart to use the engine break to make the turn after the triple. It is a fun jump but that track is fun in general. Gonna have to make a trip over to big springs soon. 2 1/2 hour ride for me.
@@williamfurness Nobody I know ever did it, and nobody I know can figure out why they would put handguards on to ride a motocross track. In my world it makes no sense. I would love to hear someone explain why they do it, I need a good laugh.
@@TCON42499 Yeah I know, it just looks stupid to me. I rode motocross for years and never used them, and I almost never got hit in the hands with rocks, I just wore the padded mx gloves and they worked fine. In my day we made fun of people on an mx track with bark busters on an mx bike.
Glad to see you back at the track with content. Love Big Springs. Workouts shouldn't be making your arm pump worse. What are you hydrating with? You should get you a bag of crucial four salt and put some in a water bottle and drink it on the way to the track also for working out. I workout 5-6 times a week and have very little arm pump when at the track and im 43. BTW the step up triple in the back is way easier than you think.
@@sludge86 Yeah that is mostly true, but the Yamaha has been coming in 1st and 3rd in all the recent 250 and 450 shootouts by motocross action and dirt bike magazine. Kawasaki and Honda have been 5th or 6th, and the Suzuki has been coming in last out of 7 bikes, because it has less power. I prefer the Suzuki myself, because I have had 4 of them and they all ran great.
