I have question. According to many sites we should put atleast 9" to 12" of mulch to properly protect children from a 8' fall. This video seems to show only about 1-2" of mulch right?
I'd like to ask a question about ground cover. I hope I can word this correctly so that you understand my question. If I initially build my play set on level ground and THEN add 12 inches of loose fill material which will result in 9 inches after it settles, won't the mulch COVER the entire bottom pieces of wood on the play set, including the DOOR? How will the children be able to open and close the door if there's 9 inches of mulch in front of it? I am VERY confused at how to ensure I have adequate ground cover, but still not completely cover all the bottom portion of the playset. Thank you.
