That video is very helpful. Not the least because since July this year in Germany, I'm sure there will be lots of people interested in planting ... trees ... in their gardens, now that it's become legal to do so. :)

I think you mean well. However, all killing is a cowardly act, and I do not think we should celebrate deciding to end life in any way. I much more appreciate those stories of people who, despite physical and mental suffering, persevere regardless of adversity. I've been blessed to have a lot of animals in my life and what I admire about them more than my fellow humans, is that they value every moment of their lives regardless of their circumstances. They do not pity themselves, and they appreciate every aspect of their lives. Humans, on the other hand, are the only ones who have thoughts and discussions about whether or not a life is worth living.
You’re ridiculous…a suffering animal should be let go…it is cruel to force an them to live with pain…the quality of life is gone…it takes courage and love to put an animal before oneself…your lack of compassion is appalling…I feel sorry for your pets…selfish to force them to suffer for your absurd ideology that is merciless and lacking in kindness…the fact that you would sit by and watch an animal suffer for hours, days, weeks makes me think you have serious mental and or emotional issues

Cazanna was such a beautiful soul. And she had the best last six months of her life at your land a dog could ever hope for. She was loved and taken care of by you and surrounded by great furry friends until the very end. Still sad she had to go though of course. RIP.
This is nothing more than people trying to feel good about themselves rather than anything else. Unlike people, animals value life from birth to natural death. Humans can learn a lot from animals in that animals do not expect comfort or grace, but value life - itself. Humans are the ones who aren't comfortable with suffering and, by killing an animal (even if they call it humane), are really only caring for themselves rather than the animal. Euthanasia is a euphemism for a cowardly and selfish act. I say this for animals ass well as humans.
Super helpful! Thank you. I hope to have an outside bathtub at my restoration house here in France. I am struggling with how to connect to an off-grid hot water source, so really glad I have found your channel. I would never have thought of re-circulating the water through the stove.
It works amazingly well! With my system, just take into account that you can't use the stove without having water circulating through it (at least, it's not recommended by the manufacturer). So, I have to fill the bathtub when I start a fire. But that's not really something that bothers me, haha. Another thing to keep in mind is the size of your bathtub with this system. Because if the amount of water to heat is small, your bathtub will be boiling after 20min. If it's huge, you'll have to wait a lot and use lots of firewood to heat it up. In my case, it's perfect for my needs. Imagine I start the fire around 7pm and the bathtub starts filling and heating up. I prepare a nice roast in the oven, bake some bread, have dinner... and, depending on the outside temperature, after a couple of hours the bathtub is ready to go. So, after having dinner partly digested, I'd get in there around 10pm, soak and enjoy, and I'll be ready for bed. I hope that extra info helps!

Also, huge respect for coming up with and installing the clever system behind it!

The funny thing when it comes to living your own life is: Whenever you hesitate to do things your way, it's usually because you're afraid of what other people think of you and your actions. But 99.9% of the time, people don't think about you and your actions at all. And the people who think about you and your actions negatively are usually people whose opinion you shouldn't give much thought to anyway. So, indeed, dare to think - and act - differently. There's nothing stopping you other than yourself.
Nice video as always. Btw: I always wanted to ask: Is Minka interested in / a danger to the chicken and rabbits? Because I remember, when I was a child, how our house cat Gregor once chased down and killed a wild rabbit - not exactly a pretty sight...
Thanks! Actually, Minka is friendly with the chickens and rabbits. Especially with the adult ones. If babies are around, I'm a bit careful, but up till now all is 💕
