That’s a 7’ MH Zeus from Duckett. It’s somewhat new and I like them. Feel free to use code “TLR10” at checkout. That will save you a little money on their website!
Ok stay calm… steer 5 foot to the left and you should see a river bank… ya right there, you see it? Ya that is the safety point… Guy on boat: screw it im gonna take my chances…😂😂
Thank man! That first rapid I paddled down is too strong for me to get back up, even with the Mirage Drive. The same goes for the section when I was on the phone. It's pretty much a one-way trip once you're in.
@@elcatrachoquike9179 thanks man! I took my outback for a float over the weekend. Found some nice ones on a jig 🎣 The video should be posted in a week or so
What LB. test line are you using? MH is a little overkill for smaller baits. Medium would be perfect but I forgot that rod at home. You should be able to get good distance with 8-10 lb test fully spooled.
From my experience, When braid snaps it’s usually because it was spooled loose. You want it as tight as possible so the braid doesn’t bite into its self creating friction points when hooking a fish.. this will also help with bird nesting!
@@tightlinerush i used yo-zuri super braid but now I just use yo-zuri fluorocarbon 16lbs test. Nothing wrong with the braid I just prefer fluorocarbon after using them both for a bit
I hear ya. I primarily use straight 10 lb fluorocarbon Topwater is either braid or mono. (Since these lines float) My jig/dragging rod is braid to fluoro leader.
Ahhh I see what you did there haha Small world! Any spillway on the river will be loaded with bass. They like the cooler water and it holds more oxygen. Current is key during the summer 🎣
I’m a 60 yr old female. I have really been looking at this one. If I get a trailer to pull out it , should I also still get a cart? Any thoughts or recommendations would be appreciated! Thanks!
Hey Sheila! I would definitely recommend a cart for any kayak. They make a huge difference to dragging. If you only plan to use this at boat ramps. You probably don’t need one. However, it is heavier than most Kayak models I’ve covered in previous videos. That is why I recommend a trailer. It takes a lot of energy using a truck bed. Especially after a long day on the water. YakAttack has a universal crate that I will cover in a future video. If you are interested in watching that. Be sure to click the subscribe button and the bell!
@@tightlinerush perfect timing! Can’t wait to see how you do up here! I’m right off of Anchor Bay and Lake St Clair, it’s great having this world class fishery in my backyard.
I’m excited for it! Just subbed to your channel. I’ll be looking for some updates as we close in 🎣 I post more updates on my Instagram: “Tight_Line_Rush”
I love this thing. It’s the Hobie H-Crate Jr. Dimensions: 14”x14” vs the full 14” 17” It’s usually on my Hobie Outback. I got it from strictlysailinc.com
