@@DesignEquipTrain if I made a video about my former profession and damned I'm sure you would find it boring AF. It's not like I live in my dentists office during my two visits per year. I'm in I'm out. I doubt cabinets would stress me out
Great question! Our first release, Your Blueprint to Maximizing Dental Office Productivity, is all about how to achieve 2x, 3x, or 5x the industry average levels of production without working any harder to do it. Our new release, Dental Office Start-Up Guide, focuses on starting your own practice, how to find a space, how to plan it, how to build it, and how to pay for it. There is intentionally very little crossover of information between books. If you’re thinking of starting an office THIS is the book you need. For existing offices trying to maximize productivity, Your Blueprint to Maximizing Dental Office Productivity is the way to go. They are complimentary! Can you make a video on how you process the instruments from the enzymatic solution to the washer disinfector? And also how you process the instruments that are in the milk bath ? That would help a lot
SI has decided to rebrand its name to better reflect its 26 years of service. While maintaining the same services, the organization aims to offer clearer insight into its mission. They've recognized that the name "Scheduling Institute" might have led practitioners to misconstrue their focus on fostering dental practice vitality and expansion. Additionally, they emphasize that their efforts to improve phone answering skills represent just a fraction of their broader scope of services.
The best advice is do not become a dental nurse , the wage is just too low for all of the job duties & the responsiblities that the dental nurse must do
Oh my goodness. We are so sorry to hear that this is your experience. Our clinical team members get paid extremely well! We can do so because they are so incredibly productive. But they are productive because we are so organized. The organization is what makes productivity possible. That, in turn, makes it possible to make sure that everyone gets a great paycheck! Maybe you need to look for a new office to work with?
I realize it takes a moment to get to know what and how your particular dentist likes things done but this video is so encouraging on many levels!!! Thank you!
What would you do if you have drawers on both sides of your room and there is no space for mobile units? I desperately want to get rid of the drawers on the doctor side since there is no wiggle room. I feel like I am always bumping into something
Your realization is beyond what most of us dentists can admit - We bought them. Probably paid too much for them. And they actually get in the way of doing more dentistry! I feel your pain. _Sometimes_ you can shift the patient chair off the midline in order to get enough room (I know that us dentists love symmetry and so this bothers us!). Unfortunately, the reality is that those side cabinets were designed for those 2 room offices in the 1950's when nothing ever left the room (remember, back then things were "sterilized" in a glass dish full of toxic goo). There was no technology to mobilize...because...there was no technology!
Thank you for your kindness. It is what inspires us to continue this work. Wouldn't it be great if 4th year dental students could learn this? Students graduate with so much debt these days, and so little understanding of how to plan their way out of it and create a great life!
The problem for assistants is that we can teach them this - and they love the comfort, ease, and performance that they can achieve - but it becomes a tremendous frustration if their doctor and office are unwilling to change and improve how they work together! Oftentimes assistants that come to understand this have to find another office!
I suspect that what you are having a hard time believing is that an upright posture, like what you are seeing, actually allows visualization. This video is not staged. It is simply a normal day in practice for those of us that work in this system. I assure you that the assistant has perfect visual access to the entire procedure! Pretty exciting isn't it?
Hello as a dental assistant myself.. it’s definitely not rehearsed …but we do these procedures multiple times a day every day .its second nature . You can tell they have probably irked together a very long time . I work between two totally different dentist and i still confuse their work with each other so i will say she is really good at what she does .
OK then...Thanks for the laugh for us Dental people! Sorry, let me clarify. We are referring to _Chair_ arm slings! No actual broken arms required here!
Why are patients considered customers in the dental office ? Wouldn’t that make them a consumer of buying dental standard of health care ? Thank you for your time .
This probably sounds weird, but teeth are actually elective! We consider them vital. They are. But people choose to keep them. They pay us to keep them. They are therefore - customers! Not hostages. They are free to choose us ... or not, and therefore is our responsibility to exceed their expectations and deserve their loyalty.
