Hello Everyone and Welcome!!! So my Channel is all about cooking videos, home decorating on occasions such as the holidays. I love Thanksgiving and Christmas especially; I love creating tablescapes, a little bit of gardening and occasionally some d.i.y's. I love mixing it up a bit from time to time and love everything home decor.

Hi sis, I am watching again. This sponge cake looks so delicious that I am baking it right now However the recipe didn't say add salt also, I didn't see what temperature to bake it on. I am baking it on 300 degrees Fahrenheit And I did add salt to mine. I'll let you know how I did. ❤ Thanks for sharing your cousins recipe with us. I love baking sponge cakes All different kind. Xo❤
@@EverythingPaulette Hi Paulette, okay. 👌 Thank you for your time to respond. I watched 3 or 4 times to make sure I see what temperature to bake it on Maybe I missed it. I used half the recipe The cake cake out beautiful just like the one in the video It was easy. It's light and spongy. I served mine with strawberries and yogurt since I didn't had whipping cream. I wrote a children's book in 2017 that includes this Bajan dish - "A Piece of Black Cake for Santa." The Bajan child left jug jug for Santa (in stead of cookies). This is a great recipe to share with my readers.

5:40 Thanks for the amazing recipe ♡ 9:00 Stir constantly until all of the water has evaporated 9:28 Cook for at least 35 minutes. 9:40 Cook at medium till all the water is cooked out then turn down to low 10:00 Still until the water is gone, then turn the heat down a little lower and when it is dried out add more water. Keep repeating until you get to the texture you want. If you want to cook it softer just add more slush.

Yes I am bajan and some do but I don’t know it’s necessary when you already have the flour that is to my mind enough to bind the mixture, but I don’t profess to be an expert.
