When people do an 'anime' abridged series we have people doing what we see here. Brits have 'form' doing this. 'Le Tournesol magicque' became 'The Magic Roundabout' and without a single translated script, mostly improvised voicings from character actors. It happened again with 'Hector's House,' another French puppet show we adapted without scripts. It's really funny stuff, attracted a lot of talented actors and comedians, Joanna Lumley for one, and tickled the funny bones of a couple of generations of British kids. Now we're not allowed to see or adapt foreign TV unless it's crime fiction from scandinavia. Slightly more serious fare like 'Monkey' or 'The Water Margin' from Japan as well. The first time it was shown they included all the swordplay and blood, as well as people thrown down wells, a lesbian relationship between Hu Sanniang and her 'cousin', plus implied nudity. Even the DVD release was edited to remove these unruly 'realistic' details to make them fit for 'the youth'.

Fun etymology bit: 'git' is a Northern British insult derived from 'a get' which was an animal born due to unplanned pregnancy out-of-season, and implied the person was a bastard or worse. Today it's a mild London and Northern parts insult along the lines of a 'twonk' a milder version of a well-known more insulting word.
