What city in Alaska is she from? It's challenging to find good CPSTs here. If she is in my area, I'll see if she is any good, and then I can actually have someone to recommend.
In the US car seats do not get rated on a scale. They must all pass the same standard testing. This seat with its premium design and extra features, when used correctly passes the exact same standards in the US as the least expensive seat with zero extra features or premium design aspects when used correctly. This is a premium seat with unique extra features but there is not a safety ranking system to actually compare it to any other seat on the US market.
Is there a mirror in development for the fit35 infant car seats? I like the idea of specific rear view mirror for car seats but only see one available for the fit360.
Having removable wheels, and having to remove those wheels to hop in a cab in NYC is a MAJOR MINUS. Should one of those wheels get removed by my niece or nephew, and left in a cab, I would have to carry a heavy car seat. Why not design it so that the wheels can be removed while out and about? Or design it so the wheels fold toward the back? It's a great attempt, but needs to be reworked to not be a major hassle. Hailing a taxi, then expecting the driver to not take another passenger while I disassemble the wheels is a stretch. If I were using a rideshare app, and waiting for an Uber, I could just request an Uber with a car seat (in some major cities). Ubers with car seats negate the necessity of traveling with a combo like this.
I have a hard time folding it back down. It’s not as easy like all of the videos I’ve seen on RU-vid. I have to use my feet to push it inward. 😩 Do I need to send mine back?
Thank you for the presentation, this was really helpful. I noticed that there isn't a summarized visual tutorial on using the Shyft Dualride, so I created list of timestamps. Please consider adding video chapter to guide audiences in future videos. 32:54 Removing the carrier from the stroller frame and base (without wheels) 33:42 Removing the carrier and stroller frame from the base (with wheels) 35:19 Installing the base on to the car seat 36:47 Releasing the wheels (stroller mode) 37:09 Using the brakes 37:28 Moving the handle into stroller position 37:43 Moving the handle back into carrier mode 38:21 Using the harnesses 40:40 Folding the stroller wheels 42:49 Removing the front wheels for baseless car seat mode 44:07 Buckling the seatbelt around the carrier
Heat Stroke & Stroke Survivor! In May of 2018, I was experiencing headaches and blurry vision. I attended a concert (morning, afternoon, evening… hot, hot, and hot… above 103OF) and suffered a HEAT STROKE. The following week my headaches and blurry vision got worse. I suffered THREE STROKES that week. I was diagnosed with a left internal carotid artery occlusion, and I was in the hospital for 2 months. I could have lost my life, but thankfully I am here today! When I got home, I could not walk or talk. I am continuing to heal and improve.
I'm so glad this one got recorded! I'm a current CPST and a former ESL/ELL teacher, and I adore the fact that you presented this information so thoroughly. Well done, Valeria, thank you so much for your time!
