I am interested in the 7310 seems like a great saw. Is it bogging down alot with that long bar or plenty of power

I bought this same saw. Commercial grade stihl saws is what I normally buy. I did a bit of research before I bought it. I've kept the stock bar and chain. I've used it a fairly good bit since July. The one complaint I have is the rpm limiter, keeping the saw from running full tilt. I've had the same issue with the pole lock. it's not that big of an issue right now. I'm keeping it stock for the time being because of the warranty. At some point in the future, I may mod the muffler, but as it is right now, I have no major complaints. Thanks for your review, I haven't seen very many reviews on this saw. It's nice to compare

Yeah, it’s a great tool no doubt; and it’s definitely paid for itself over and over for myself I know that. I’ll probably grab a 14” or 16” bar at some point to switch out in certain jobs if needed. This thing has the power no prob 👍👏🌲🌳

Whatever power tool brand you have (Milwaukee, Ryobi, etc), they have little inverters that work well to charge the battery. Super simple! I have the Milwaukee one and it charges the battery on your trailer. It’s around $90.

What I would do is run a 12 gauge wire from your truck battery, or better yet, from a terminal that is key activated, back to your trailer plug, you can also look into a much bigger amp alternator for your truck and if you do any amount of driving at all that should keep your battery charged, for the most part. Also look into solar battery chargers, I have a cheep one that is 10 amps or watts, I forget, and it works, but not enough for your application, but I am sure they make them bigger. I run everything off of solar generators, personally, and they work great, and then a generator for cloudy days.
@woodsmiller
@woodsmiller Месяц назад
All good ideas you got there , there’s lots of alternative charging options for sure. This thing has been running great and a barely ever charge this thing up. I mostly use it to haul trees debris so when I dump it doesn’t use much battery power at all. If you’re hauling heavier loads like sand and gravel consistently it’s gonna draw the battery down a lot faster no doubt. Thanks for your comment and ideas and have yourself a good one 👍🌲🌳

The lil j by John Seard is pretty much the same saw. I run it on 50:1 which I think is okay , oils have changed a lot in 40 years. You may want to disconnect the auto oiler so it doesn't suck bar oil into the crank case. To start it you need to choke it and hold the throttle halfway, it takes a few pulls . No primer bulb hah. I put a foam air filter on. The carb boot gaskets are paper you are going to want to replace those. I cut some from that foam crap they sell everywhere.

Yeah, saw something about that recently, been meaning to look into that! Another comment I got on here was a guy that mention Hung Tonga, a crazy huge volcanic eruption under the ocean that happened and burned an insane amount of water vapour into the atmosphere; that would seem to be a pretty valid reason for the water vapour in the air that I’ve been wondering about all year. I haven’t really had any comments about this water vapour in the air, I was curious if it was in other regions or other parts of the world also. Thanks for taking the time to post! 41 years ago in my home town upper midwest USA the temperature Christmas day 1982 was 60°. No that's normal. However, the averages in history are not measured in the lifetime experiences of any one human. We just reference living memory. Listen to the people squeal when the weather turns cold and the have no fuel to keep warm and cook their food. Growing seasons shortened or ruined altogether by cold and excessively wet weather are a real possible alternative. An overpopulated planet with not enough food will be a bad place to be. Maybe it'll cut down on morbid obesity.

Interior Alaska here, where i live, to this date this season we have had three days at twenty below zero and one day at twenty eight below. "Normally", by this date we would have at least seven days at thirty below, and three or four days of forty below. The temperatures have been going up for twenty eight years, here. There is something going on, no doubt, but i no longer believe that burning "fossil" fuels or ambient CO2 levels, has anything to do with it.

While they cannot control the weather, "Cloud seeding" and other forms of weather manipulation have been admitted to. We will always have the four seasons according to the Good Book so the only thing that can happen are some extreme swings and or conditions. That being said, the chemtrails are a real thing and who knows how it will effect the weather outside of normalcy. Been unusually warm here in Minnesota as well but not looking forward to January. I suspect things will be changing for the worse cold-wise. While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease. -Genesis 8:22 Thanks for the video and good luck with your channel!

This is a beautiful thing to witness. I'm a 65 year old scientist. I've been studying climate change for decades. No matter what your political views are, the thermometer is a difficult thing to argue with. The climate models I study predict that the average temperatures will jump up around 10 degrees F every decade or so. It's not a gradual change, it's a step change. I live to see the day when the temperature hits 140F in the southwest USA. That will happen before I die, and I will jump for joy. We are all waiting to see who wins this existential battle... Mother Earth or Slippery Sam. Mother Earth will take out thousands on that day.

it's a strong el nino year, normally that means anything but the usual, here in belgium we got a LOT of rain.. + that eruption at hunga tunga put an extreme amount of water in the atmosphere, this should have the opposite effect to dust which cools like the famous year without a summer in the 1800's.. given the name, a year without a summer it's better to have a warm year in my opinion.. :p cheers

no prob, do you know what year that colder than usual summer was? on the topic of climate, weather patterns/systems and the possible changes i would just like to say that in my, moderate to well studied opinion (depending what field we discuss) the "normal" for planet earth has always been extreme, from droughts to floods to sudden colder periods with varying time spans (decades to centuries) and of course the glacial/interglacial long cycles for about 2.5 million years.. there is a warming trend ever since what's called the little ice age ended and we still haven't reached global average temps of what's called the climatic optimum period in which human civilizations became more established (9500-4000 years ago).. i think it's important not to panic to much (i mean generally, the climate alarmism) as for now there's not even a serious concern or sufficient evidence that weather phenomena are getting more extreme like the fabled claim hurricanes are stronger and more frequent in recent times (no it's not and fun fact it's actually the other way around) anyhow take care, hope you have some snow soon! cheers @@woodsmiller

As someone who works on climate change, I can only say that things are gonna change even more unfortunately. I grew up in Tasmania, Australia. We used to get snow on the mountains 8 months a year. But it’s becoming less and less, the last 3 years we haven’t even run the lifts. The fish I used to catch have gone and now I’m getting species that normally belong 500km north. The trees are flowering earlier and dropping foliage later. We’ve known about climate change for over 60 years, but the fossil fuel industry has bought our governments and stopped us dealing with it. Such a shame.

What a crock of crap! The climate is constantly changing, and has been warmer than now and colder than now in the past, and it will continue changing no matter what we do.
