I ran the Rogue about 25 years ago in a solo canoe. A really great river for canoeing. I can't understand why everybody thinks Blossom Bar is a big deal, but I guess if you are driving a rubber mini-van maybe it's harder?
It's amazing seeing this video for the first time 12 years later after running this for the first time in '22, just to compare the similarities and differences in the race. This is making me wanna run it again!!
I ran this marathon in 2011 and in 2014.... i saw your video before the 2011.... Thank you very much for spreading the spirit of this race.... this year i will run a marathon again and after the covid restrictions I feel like im nunning a marathon for the first time...this video is awesome. congratulations for this marathon 11 year later.!
Came across your video years ago. It's been great inspiration. Was supposed to run in 2020, and 44 days from now will finally run it. I will be watching your video one last time before the race starts. Perfect combination of footage and music. It motivates and hits you right in the feels : )

Paris , Madrid and London holding their marathons in Sept, Oct and Nov. WTF! Protesters, rioters and occupy city hall ok, but a Nov race out in fresh air is murder. This is not like delaying the release of a movie, this is real life and a lot can happen in a year. I feel bad for runners that might miss their only chance to run in the NYC marathon. We have gone from NY strong to NY soft. We are better than this New York.
I ran half marathon looong time ago, one of the important things of working out was this video, it moved me to the bones. Today I saw again, and it got me as it was the first time I saw it. Came to the conclusion to start running again after quarantine. We need extra positive neurotransmisors today, stay safe!

Loved this ❤️ NYC was my first and only Marathon so far in 2016, and I came across this during my training. It really pulled me through and gave me confidence and inspiration. Now when I look back on it I cry because that was one of the greatest days of my life ❤️
