Sounds superb! I can't wait until it is available for purchase by the general public. I have a HiFi in a Collings D1 Traditional and it's great. I think the addition of the mic will make it even better. (I'll probably have to buy the Duet and replace the HiFi) Sounds ever better and I'm actually very happy with the HiFi. My other favorite PU is the Anthem which I have in 5 high end acoustics.
Met these 3 while doing road construction out in the middle of nowhere. Didnt know anything about them but we has a bunch of laughs while waiting for the last of the equipment to get off the road so they could get through. They said they'd put me on the guest list at their show that night 2 hours away. I made it down there and loved the music they performed. They didnt recognize me all cleaned up and I just asked for a autograph saying it was a long drive but thank y'all for putting me on the guestlist. They all looked up and said my name gave me hugs and handshakes and made me feel like the rockstar. Truely glad I got to meet them on a more personal level.
"Recorded direct." What is with the reverb/echo at 3:33? If it is room noise, then it isn't purely direct. If it is added, it should be noted what other effects have been put on the signal. Don't get me wrong, it looks and sounds like a great pickup, but it would help to know the room or effects context here for an accurate understanding of what we're hearing.
@@scottmoreau5630 Yep, fair point, but I wish pickup manufacturers would disclose all effects added, as reverb definitely adds a spacious sound that is less immediate and hides quack.
Would be cool to have a comparison where the anthem and this were back to back, both mics wise and saddles. Same model guitars, same setting etc. Would give folks a great idea of what sounds to expect and make their choice by.
What is funny is that the more passionate he becomes throughout the song, less interesting it is. It's so difficult to write a melody. And this song hasn't one. It's not because you're endorsed by two companies that it changes the result. No matter if you have a hat on, or you are being filmed by a high quality camera. Once delivered, you can't remember where he was going to. Needless to say that songwriters of this generation are less interesting than their fathers. Far away in a distant galaxy...
Beautiful song, beautifully played. Peter Frampton is one of my all-time heroes, since that day back in 1976 when I was sixteen years old and got my "Frampton comes alive" album.
