Why is it that nobody ever addresses IngressGateways to properly make apps public? I don't wanna learn how to access Grafana or Prometheus via some kubectl port-forward command, I wanna learn how to make various applications publicly available using Istio but all I ever see is ppl doing the exact same thing Elton did here.. How would we go about making Prometheus/Grafana/App01, or App1/App2/App3 all publicly available over the internet via HTTP (not HTTPS)? This would be very VERY helpful as those are real life situations. I don't want to have to port forward all these dashboards just to access them. Best would be to make them available over HTTP(s) and then whitelist your IP so that nobody else can access it.

Where I was using docker desktop on Windows 10/11 and switchdaemon between linux/windows - my move to docker on Windows 2022 meant I found desktop would kind of install and then get upset with my wsl setup. Moving to docker ee/ce instead then saw me only able to use windows images until I also installed ce into my wsl 2 setup - so I've one docker instance in windows 2022, and another in its wsl2 setup each serving the windows or linux containers. SO no switching per se and they both work independently...

Worth mentioning that CMD may not be able to use a cat, depending on your system/image setup - so I had to use type instead. Also worth mentioning that for each of the build runs for it, including those where it disliked the non-existent 'cat' I got images littered all over my docker system. Trivial to clean up but worth highlighting that you may still get a broken image created and that in your multistage case you will get anonymous/unnamed siblings for your final multi-stage one too

I'd like to see a video about the files that Docker-for-Windows uses in the filesystem (programs/data/configs/etc.),,, and also the registry keys it uses... what services installs... also please... put some pauses on your speech... and if possible do it a bit slowly,,, ot all of we are native english speakers... but even those... LOL!!! i'm constantly pushing back the video to 'digest' what you said...

Great session. I was following the steps. Am able to run diamol/apache as Linux container and open in browser as well. I am also able run the windows container for the same but not able to open in browser. Error: <ip address> took too long to respond. Could you please throw some light on this. Why is this happening? And how can I fix that. Thanks.

At time 17:59 we are running command 'docker container run diamol/ch02-hello-diamol' I am not able to find this folder or file in git hub you have provided in book. From which folder we have to run this command. I am facing error's like no docker file or container. Kindly help am I in right direction. Thanks

Nice videos! I have a question for you, figured you might know answer. I have ubuntu server latest LTS on 5 raspberry pi's. Installed kubernetes cluster. Its all up and running fine. But I havent seen anyone talk about how to properly shut down the nodes and the master/control node....so like I could upgrade the hardware or move it around in the room. Do you know the commands to type in an SSH shell, to shut down the nodes properly, so that once the cluster is totally powered down...that it can startup properly again once the 5 machines are started up again? Thanks
