Love ❤the way John raises his eyebrows when playing-reminiscent of his dad Bucky!

I remember hearing you with Grover Kemble at Ryans in New Brunswick years ago. Terrific then and terrific now! One of your big band CDs is the swinging-est of them all. Thanks for all your great music over the years!

JP does many tribute albums but in keeping with character, he is never obvious or predictable, his selection of tracks is as clever and interesting as his playing!!!

The greatest moments I have and I met his father, your father pizzeria. He was talking in a garage in Manhattan, and what's with the a street and garage is no longer there. To hotel now and he took out his seventh string guitar and it was phenomenal

Не хватает "нерва", той прорывающейся эмоциональности, которая присутствует у Маккартни в оригинале и не оставляет слушателя равнодушным. Здесь всё получилось формально, флегматично и безразлично как-то...

I just watched this video today by hitting play by mistake. BUT, when I saw his name, the age he appears to be, and the type of 🎸ist he is, I’m almost certain that he’s the son of Bucky P. IF anyone knows? I was one of his sister’s best friends in high school and we went to the same college also. I’m now going on 70 and sadly we lost touch years ago. I often wonder where, and how, she is now, but can’t seem to locate her (probably married w/ a different last name).

@@andresilva8444 Thanks, I really thought so too! But, I believe Bucky was more of a typical and classic ‘blues/jazz’ style 🎸ist. as opposed to John, as far back as I can recall. (At least from what I’ve heard them both play.)

@@elainemeyer5062 i believe John’s first album was way back in 1983. I got to see him in London playing with Daniel Jobim (Tone Jobim’s grandson) about 6 years ago on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Sinatra and Jobim’s album. It was fantastic.

@@andresilva8444 Thx for the info! At that time I was in my mid 30’s, and had already lost contact with his sister. However I can remember being at their house many times before then when I was friends w/ his sis, and had heard Bucky play - he was very good IIR, and quite well known and respected for his 🎸 playing.

I used to sing this to my son when he was a baby. I danced around and would make him smile and laugh while singing it. Now 36 years later he's getting married in December, and we will dance our Mother-Son dance at the reception using this beautiful cover by John Pizzarelli ❤️

Your version of “after you’ve gone” is one of the best things RU-vid has to offer! I hope God gives you good health and a happy life! Thank you for the best swing pompe out there! 🙏🎻
