The Follicular Lymphoma Foundation (FLF) is on a global mission to cure follicular lymphoma (FL). With patients at the heart of everything we do, we are leading the way in FL research and and treatment to ultimately find a cure and fast.

Founded by Nicola Mendelsohn CBE, the inspiration to establish FLF came three years after her diagnosis with FL. She joined the global conversation amongst FL patients in a Facebook group and listened to their questions as to why this cancer was still incurable despite decades of research. Today, with a growing international FL group of over 10,000 patients, the FLF can mobilise the patient as the driving force behind finding a cure.

Together, we can create a global community of researchers, clinicians, biotech and the pharmaceutical industry to accelerate positive outcomes.

FDA, stop effing around with Odronextamab and just approve it. The head of Regeneron is a friend of Trump and that's probably why they are doing this.

Thank you for a very informative video on the use of immunotherapy being used in the fight aĝainst Follicular Lymphoma. I was recently diagnosed with Follicular Lymphoma when I had a colonoscopy and EGD. A very large polyp was removed from my Sigmoid colon, along with two other large and several smaller polyps. The large ones had to be cut out. Unfortunately, one of the large ones was diagnosed with Follicular Lymphoma. I had large, diffuse B Cell Lymphoma about five years ago and was treated with many rounds of R-CHOP at MD Anderson in Houston, TX. It went into remission. I don't know what the plan is to treat the Follicular Lymphoma but will have a PET scan this Thursday at Clearview Cancer Institute in Huntsville, AL. I will follow that up with a visit to my oncologist on Friday and discuss a treatment plan. I hope they don't just want to wait and watch it.

I've just recently been diagnosed with FL - lymph nodes appear just a bit bigger than normal so on watch and wait but I'm wanting to incorporate other ways to try and heal myself without having to turn to chemo. I've heard that a cure could be coming soon :)

There is no harm in examining the issue of possible cure, but, with respect, I think this is slightly click-baity. Whether FL can be cured (which I doubt in the medium term) will only be determined over the long term in examining survival rates, so talking about this now as opposed to eg talking about treatments etc and their effectiveness or disadvantages seems to me not very worthwhile.

Hi Chris, thanks very much for your insightful comment. This particular webinar is part of a series of communications to raise awareness on FL and was a popular topic when we asked patients what they were interested in. We do delve deeper into specific aspects of current and promising future treatments, immediate areas of research and how these might be fast-tracked to find a cure (check out FLF’s Chief Medical Officer’s top highlights from American Society of Hematology). Please visit The FLF publications page for more resources on this. The recent article ‘Follicular Lymphoma: Navigating the Pathways for Clinical and Translational Investigations’ by FLF’s Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Mitchell Smith, specifically touches on the challenge of long term follow up for investigating effective treatments. Please also watch this space for future webinars and communications addressing other important questions like you have raised. Our mission at the FLF is to find a cure for FL, and fast. These conversations, debates and educational activities play an important role in highlighting the need for translational research and funding to be prioritised in FL.

27 year old male here, I had it in one place in my neck and finished a six month regimen of rituximab and bendamustine back in may of 2023. So far my scans have been clear and I'm hoping for it to stay on remission.

74 year old female patient with FL. Finishing my 4th month of Retuximab and Bendamustine tomorrow. Doing well, but please find a cure! How often can it transition to a more aggressive form?

Maybe Rejuvenate Bio's reverse aging will make the immune system strong enough to result in a cure. I think we should start looking at alternate methods rather than the typical methods of killing specific types of cells. Also Allogeneic Transplant should be a focus by working on preventing GVHD. The curve of survival suggests auto transplant is cruel VS Allo, as survival rate after 2 or 3 years is the same. However, Allo survival rate flattens out quickly in the graph and at least provides a potential cure.

I missed this live webinar due to commitments that cropped up last minute, so was really pleased to be able to watch it at a later date. I found the information really interesting as a person who has NHFL, I’ve had treatment and am now on maintenance. I look forward to further webinars nd hope to attend the live version. Thank you
