Anyone notice that Indians apparently spend time with their tribal clubs? I don't see many videos about them solving humanity's problems but boy, do they chant and dance.
she started to quick and her shawl wasnt high enough... and her outfit isnt what judges are looking for... part of what is being judged is regalia.. but other then that she has some good footwork and shes fast =)
Totally agree with you numutsu--the outfit doesn't make the dancer, the footwork does! People's outfits are so loud anymore, they look messy. This girl was tearin it up! I watch this with my little girl every now and then to give her encouragement (I'm a traditional dancer, she dances fancy). Thanks for posting this!
That's cool, no hate mail here. The thing that caught my eye was her footwork; to me, that's what it's all about. Outfits are nice, but everything that glimmers is not gold. LOL!
whoa now... she tore some shyzz up... but in all honestly... I prolly wouldn't have watched her solely based on her outfit... sad I know... so no hate mail please... but thats the way it is nowadayz... but gawd she is purdy baddass dancer... howah!... *L*...
Sometimes I wonder how people would place if they were all made to wear the same color outfit ... it would be totally based on skill and ability to dance, instead of how flashy the outfits are. Sometimes I think that that would totally change the winners ...
You're right. As with all things, nobody likes a 'put down'. Each and every dancer out there has their own unique style. These days, the competition is VERY competitive, so I (personally) don't think that dancers win just because of who they are or who they know. Basically, if Judges are honest, then everything should just come down to the dancers ability. Thanks for stopping by and leaving your comment.

I've never heard of the White Cloud Singers. But, there is a group out Fort Berthold that go by the name of White Lodge. They travel extensively, maybe that is who you're talking about.
