Overlanding is vehicle-based adventure travel. Many of us as kids played pretend and to be on these epic adventures. Fast forward a few decades and now those epic adventures are a reality.
Why do you overland?
The experiences that my family and myself get to be a part of are the entire reason why we overland. From the breathtaking views, enjoying time with each other, getting stuck and problem-solving situations. When we look back and remember our travels and experiences we get to cherish those moments.
With Limitless Overland we want to invite you on these memories to inspire people to venture outside and create lasting memories of their own. Your generous support will help tell our story of Overlanding. Your support helps the growth of the channel with trip expenses, maintenance, and upgraded tools.
I would say a Bison wouldn’t have any issues at all. It all comes down to how much you are loading it up with. Right now my setup (not a bison) is way heavier than a stock bison. I haven’t had any issues. I have CBI front and rear bumpers, prinsu rack, CBI bed rack and tuff stuff alpha 4 man tent. 0 issues to date
@@LimitlessOverland awsome. theres a nice one near me for sale with the roofnest falcon, thule bed rack. cant wait to go on my first trip thanks for the help
You’ll be happy with that truck! Bisons are beast! Leave it in 2WD unless you need 4x4! Check out the website if you need anything www.offroadscout.com
Hey dude. Thanks got the video and the ideas for my own ZR2. Two questions: 1. Are you tracking or worried about weight at all? Midsize truck max payloads aren’t very high and I worry I’ll max out with my build. 2. Ever thought about a second battery for all the lights?
I'm not too worried about the the payload its held up pretty well and I drive pretty rough. Since this this this video I have put a front bumper and winch and bigger wheels. The lights are LED and don't require much power to run them. Never has been a problem especially while the truck is running.
@@LimitlessOverland I did drill holes at the bottom but I don't want to put sealant because I also want to remove the case when needed. I used wing nuts for easy removal
It’s definitely worth it! Some of the best views in Washington! Definitely should wait until the weather gets warmer so you aren’t going through the sketchy areas in snow!
Awesome mod to the box! But I can't understand the Box on the roof when you have NOTHING in the bed of your Truck! NOTHING! Is the box on top supposed to be cool looking? If it is I want to order 2 tonight, because my insecurity is at an all time low and need a boost
The bed of the truck is always maxed out especially with a family of 5. Obviously, I take everything out of the bed of my truck when its in my driveway!
*If you need more gas, why not put a 5 gallon jerry can in the empty bed of the truck? You won't look as prepared or as cool as the Poser Pax, if thats important to ya*
Great question, typically when going out on longer trips the bed is completely full of gear. I do have a 5 gallon jerry can but utilizing the bed rack to clear up space is the reasoning.
Wow amazing scenery. Seeing the stars on the camera driving at night was pretty cool. I haven't done one section of the BDR yet! Hopefully sooner than later.
The views are some of the best in Washington! I'm sure you'll have an amazing time when you do get to experience this section of the BDR. What parts have you done so far?
Do you have a link? How many lbs did you get? Does the support open the lid on its own or you have to push it up? I wanted to do same but mount items on the lid what lbs would you recommend? Thanks
I order a pair of 10” (10lbs struts). I would suggest getting a 25lbs strut though. The tens are pretty weak and need assistance to open. Here is the one I used: 10 inch 10 Lb/45N Gas Shock... www.amazon.com/dp/B088KFTXTD?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Thanks, I'm glad you liked it! Just was down in the Alvord Desert last month with Edward Shin! I'm looking to get into some more technical wheeling soon!
