Thank you. I am excited to make this. So, the mitered corners are done after sewing??? If you make another with them, I would love to see it ?

Ahh! I’m so excited you’re going to try this out, Laura 😊 I’d love to see your final product!! And, as far as the mitered corners, you could absolutely do that but then it wouldn’t allow the bag to be reversible. If that’s not something you want, then you can absolutely do that ☺️

Hi Gayle! I totally understand your concern about my hair getting into the food, but I assure it does not. Working in a bakery taught me the importance of food safety, and I never take that for granted for my customer’s sake. As someone who’s been self-conscious about their hair all their life, this was my first step into fully embracing my natural hair. I know it seems silly to keep it down, but it makes me feel good about myself and that’s just what I’m going to continue to do ☺️

Hey Sharon, thank you for the feedback! Unfortunately, I’m not someone to watch for technique as I’m quite new to the baking world. But, I work really hard to make content people want to watch, and I think you would enjoy some of my other videos where I exclusively do voiceovers. I’ve had more people want chatty baking videos, so I try to sprinkle those in as much as I can. Thanks for watching 😊

Hey Joan, great shout! I will say, I’ve personally had strong starters exist a couple weeks into making them as well as a couple months. I don't like the voice over as much for the same reasons you mentioned. I want to hear authenticity. I prefer channels where the editing is minimal and makes me feel like what I'm watching is actually achievable. I'm a reseller and love watching the videos where they leave their children's interruptions and share their mistakes much more than I love the clean cut six figure sellers who seem to have everything together :)

It’s also the reminder I needed to keep simplifying things and not get caught up in trying to be like the clean cut six figure sellers (nothing wrong with that), because that’s not authentic to me and how I want to show up for y’all. This has been super helpful, thank you so much!! I hope to make more content you want to watch and are excited to see. I’m so happy you’re here 🫶🏼

Hello it's the first time that I came across your videos. May I plz ask why are u using yeast with your sourdough as you claimed that your starter is good. Tx😅
@HappilyHomegrown
@HappilyHomegrown 5 месяцев назад
Hi!! Thanks for watching and commenting, it’s a totally valid question! In this video, I’m trying to use up all of my sourdough discard. From my understanding, once you discard from your starter then becomes “inactive”. To “reactivate” it, it would need something to wake it up again (hence the yeast). Don’t get me wrong, my sourdough starter is alive and super active, making it PERFECT for regular loaves. It’s just not what I was trying to bake in this video. I hope that helps and clears it up a bit ☺️

did you ever get a clear liquid on top before feeding again? I had a clear liquid form on top after day 3.
@HappilyHomegrown
@HappilyHomegrown 7 месяцев назад
Friend, it sounds like you've had what's called a "hooch". I had it on my first attempt and realized it was my starter's way of telling me it needed more food than I was giving it. If you see a hooch, your starter is eating the flour faster than you're feeding it. I would recommend feeding it a bit more flour and less water. I've found the 1/3 cup flour to 1/4 cup water to be the best ratio when starting your sourdough starter. Try that, and let me know if it helps!
