2022, a lot better, but every year will have its ups and downs. I’m just glad a new beginning can happen at any day at any time:) This piece has given me courage in myself and as a musician. My last year of high school and it will go by fast, as Ian preparing for college apply and music auditions.

When I first listened to this music, I was on a plane after saying goodbye to my family at the airport. I look out the window. Cotton clouds coated with golden linings dance in the rays of sun. In that moment, all memories flash black. I see my mom's smile when she asked me in the morning what food I would like for today. I said "beef curry". I felt my sister's tight hug as she teared up softly and whispered good wishes before leaving the house. I realized now that for some time, I would not get to play with her stationary or mess with her stuff when she was not looking. I saw my brother hurrying downstairs to help me carry the basket up. We got into a sibling fight earlier that day and he took the first step to make peace. I already forgot what we were arguing about. I saw my aunt making spicy noodles with egg in the middle of the night because I got hungry. She is a kind and empathetic soul that I love talking to. My dad told us stories as we sat on a mat laid on the earth in front of the house. It was too hot and there were mosquitoes. Electricity was out. We had hand-held fans to ward the mosquitoes away and to get some wind. The moon was bright. They were good, peaceful nights. All those memories brought up by this music, on a flight. I cried like a child. It took all my strength to leave my family behind to pursue my dream, a new chapter in my life. I went to Berea College with full scholarship in 2012. I was 19 then.
