Bringing vintage vehicles back to life one at a time. Classic and Rat Rod vehicles salvaged. I do what I can to bring these classics back around to be enjoyed. And thanks to the automotive community for sharing its wealth of knowledge and experience with us all. It inspires me and others to get out there and do it. If you have a vision or dream you can make it happen. I enjoy working on these classic vehicles and learning from the car community. The best part is when you can drive it down the road and know that you did it, you put in the blood, sweat, and time in to achieve your goal.
Yeah, just extremely busy in life right now. I hope to be back to filming and dropping new content soon. Thanks for checking in. I appreciate it very much.
We’ll I had a 56 Canadian Pontiac that’s on a Chevy frame not like yours on a Buick frame. So I had a 396 that needed a rebuilt which I put a L88 cam in it but had to sell the motor so I could go to Printing school. So I put my 301 done out of my 55 Chevy and raced it and was stolen and strip and burned. You’ll never see another Laurention Pontiac ever as mine was a 2 door hardtop. 😂
Want to wish you a Merry Christmas and thank you for bringing the work you have done on the '56 Pontiac to us ------ Hoping you the Best for the Holidays ------ Rodney

Your parking lights do not light up with the headlights on. The are supposed to turn off when the headlights are turned on. Up until 1968, there was no requirement for the parking lights to be light when the headlights were turned on. So it was very uncommon to see any earlier cars with that feature. It was part of the lighting standards update. That is also the year side marker lights were phased in. Most, but not quite all new cars had side marker lights installed. For example, a 67 Firebird does not have side marker lights. But a 1968 Firebird does, even though the body’s are almost the same. There was some transition. Some cars and trucks made do with side marker reflectors for a year or two. For a while, there was an available aftermarket replacement headlight switch that would turn on the front parking lights with the headlights. I don’t know if there is one that will fit your Pontiac.
Thanks for the information, I really appreciate the history. I like it the way she is "original" with the parking lens off with headlights on. I'll leave her alone the way she is now. Thanks again I do appreciate it!
