This was the first WWF house show in the Superdome long before WM 30. This was also WM3 when they put it in a bigger venue plus they brought back the Junk Yard Dog back for the first time because he was a big star in New Orleans along with Hulk Hogan
It's a real pleasure to watch Gene, Richard and Josh find their flow as podcast hosts from week to week. This was a particularly fun episode. The watchalong was an interesting addition. I also always find the stories about their experiences in the wrestling business interesting - maybe they could reveal a bit more about that in the future.
Talk about a time capsule. I hated Heenan as a kid. That's because he did his job so well. These 2 never failed to entertain. Even now. On a side note, back in the 1990's the equipment featured in the background was the pinnacle of professional analog 480i video production. 2" video tape. Analog video mastering equipment. Move forward 31 years to 2024. All of this video production could be done today, digitally, in 4K quality or higher quality, with just a few workstation computers. And probably a computer not so different than my own. Hard to believe technology is moving this fast.
With Patera bent over the ropes and held down tight, the sight of Bobby behind him removing the belt I thought to myself if WWF have a seconds delay button
The way how Miss Texas got taken to school by Sensational Sherri was so brutal and devastating. I would've loved to see something like that happen to one of the girls from Fatal Influence I mean Fatal Flatulence if any of them had existed in wrestling during the 90's.
Bundy needs to learn how to work! All the other Heenan family members gave working whips where they would hit Patera with their wrist or Forearm while stomping their feet for sound effect. Bundy gave a vicious real whip. I hope Patera educated Bundy when they got back stage.
Love all the UWF footage you have been putting out...do you have access to the episodes where Angel of Death turned on the Freebirds and joined Skandor Akbars Devestation Inc.?
oh my GOSH!!!! Cheryl & I were great friends in high school. I remember walking from one building to the other building for our swimming classes. Rain, snow, bitter cold after our swimming class. Cheryl Hagood from Vernon Hills, IL. We went to Libertyville high school.
