Good luck! They will make a difference but always carry more the one. I respooled one of mine Saturday and backlashed on the like third cast so bad I had to redo it again on Sunday. It was my fault caught a small branch bankfishing. What did you get?
Self retracting clotheslines is a great unit for retrieving and storing line. HOWEVER, by using a trolley along with this, it allows you to anchor from either the bow or the stern, allowing you to fish upstream as well......that is way food travels to the fish on a stream, as well as insects with the wind in a lake or pond. Thanks
I drove past three local Home Depots to get to one that actually had these Gerber Prybrids in stock, and this little tool doesn’t disappoint! Very ergonomic and loaded with useful tools. I have the pocket clip model in burnt orange, which, from a distance, looks like wood scales. My only concern is the pry bar blades boring a hole through pants/shorts, but you assured that has not been your experience. Still, if a protective cover/sleeve was made available, I’d feel more at ease. 🤷♂️

Hey I tried everything but my bait caster isn’t letting out line and it dosent really go far either so if you can then pls make a video on how to fix it
I literally have the blackmaxx abu and was having this problem this weekend lost two fish because of it I was going to buy a new reel today and this video fixed it you’re the best
It seems, the Tourist is getting my favourite due to its small size, it just disappears in any pocket. But to be honest, I also have a Classic SD with me all the time, I like the tiny blade and scissors, which I use every single day.
I am glad you mentioned the part about the possible chaffing with the Combat Cut. I too, have a Shield Mine is a Plus. The stippling is agro, and I may end up getting the bigger piece of leather, to keep that from rubbing my side raw. I am gonna call CB and see what they recommend. Thank you for your info. I appreciate you sharing your experience.
I know this is a bit old now but great little video. am tossing up between this or the waiter (as I can see fitting some of the under and a tortoise flint would make it a great minimalist survival knife. cheers stu
Thanks Stu, I have really liked the Bantom. Recently I’ve been using the Spartan S. It’s got good tools and a serrated blade. Thanks for taking time to comment. Have a great weekend Cheers
My general line for all purpose fishing is 10-12 lb Flourocarbon line. If your throwing diving lures crankbait and jerkbaits 8-10. Lipless crank , bladed jigs and top water 12. Texas rigs, Carolina rigs etc 12. Works great for me. Any other questions feel free to ask. Cheers
I've seen this in a couple vids, and thou I don't think I've ever bought a shreade, oh wait, I bought a cheap little neck knife, but this one is the best looking shrade I think Ive seen, but I know they make many, many knives.
Top demais seu vídeo! Parabéns, acabei de comprar um Caiaque Vibe Yellowfin 120, e estou ansioso para minha primeira pescaria com ele! Seu vídeo me ajudou muito a escolher esse Caiaque aqui no Brasil! Obrigado!
I’ve seen all I need to see. Already wasn’t liking how the seat just “sits there” and isn’t really captured by anything to help hold it in. Also how the sides were bowed in. But when you stepped up on that deck it looked like someone standing on a waterbed, it had so much movement. This is not the first video I’ve seen of this model having that issue. The Ascend kayak is not for me.
It was a great kayak. Super stable and easy to fish out of. We got several great years out of it. But for the price there are much better kayaks out there. What other kayak are you looking at?
I currently have a Magellan Outdoors Pro Angler 10’3” kayak that works fine but seems like paddling a barge when I’m in it. It weighs 62 pounds empty. I am looking for one that might get up and go a little easier. One kayak I was considering is the Pelican Catch 100 Classic. But that might be a lateral move instead of an upgrade, I’m not sure. I’m also looking at the Pelican Challenger 100XP (also sold as Rebel or Axiom 100XP). I’d like to have something pretty lightweight and no more than 10’ long, but that might not be doable based on my size. Some details about me that may help. I’m 6’1”, 260 pounds. I’m using an Aqua Bound Manta Ray Hybrid 250cm paddle that should be adequate for really digging in to make a kayak go, but yet I still seem to struggle to get anywhere in my yak. I don’t take a lot of gear, just a Plano 3500 small bag with plastics and a little bit of accessories, and one Plano 3600 box for some hardbaits, and 3 rods, and a drink. That’s it. Yet it still seems like moving a tank to make it move. I feel like a lot of it is the hull design, it’s nearly flat across the bottom, and while it’s hard on the top side, the bottom flexes. I wonder if it is flexing underneath when in the water and creating more drag. Previously I had a Pelican Ultimate 120 that was 12’ long and weighed 59 pounds. I could make it move easier than the Magellan. That kayak had a hard hull bottom that I don’t believe flexed any. That’s one reason I am thinking the Pelican kayaks might be better, with hard bottoms and shaped hulls with chines molded in, especially one that’s lighter like the Challenger, it only weighs 43 pounds.
Lol up here, boaters get heated when they are backing up and yaks are all over the ramp especially now since its fall salmon running in our rivers. Im able to launch my boat from the bank or ramp from the truck bed but yeah it can get hectic sometimes haha. Good video explaining how to do this. Also another tip i got is turn off headlights at the ramp in the early dawn hours.
This was a good video man . I need to check out this place when i go to see my family there in ATLANTA GEORGIA . I really like the kayak 🛶 ramp . Like you said all parks should have this kayak 🛶 ramp . Your son has gotten really big man . He is going to be driving you around soon . I also like your flip flops 🩴you had on man . I am a huge huge huge flip-flops 🩴 guys me & my whole entire family ( wife , 6 boys , daughter in law , Granddaughter , Grandson , my lil brother , & his son , that's all we wear all year around everyday even in 30° Degrees Temperatures outside me & my 6 boys are wearing our flip flops 🩴. Just curious what kind of flip flops 🩴do you have ? I hope you & your family have a good weekend buddy .
I’m looking for an electric (motorized) anchor. The entire hull of the kayak operates like a drywell, so I’m going to house the battery and stuff there. Being said, I don’t want to put hole into my kayak. Somewhat new to kayaking, and it just feels wrong drilling into a new kayak. Any suggestions?
