Yamaha suggests and I can attest that all you have to do is hook garden hose to the flush port and run 10-15 minutes. Do not start engine. But hey if this works for you why not
Won’t hurt that’s for sure and I don’t use it that much anymore just at the end of the season, but I’ll flush it like a half an hour while I go eat lunch
My friend Gator saves up his urine, mixes in a little dawn dish soap and flushes his engine out with that, I have no idea if it actually works, but he swears by it.
@@elmore119 been doing a lot of fishing it’s really Impressive so glad I didn’t go out to 24 V .. as a matter of fact, my 14 foot boat has a 24 V motorguide Xi5.. I think I’m going to sell it and go with the 12 V minn kota
@@fishin360 I have the harness and stuff on my Sun Tracker just not the plastic triangle piece it was broke when I bought it So now I'm trying to either find 1 or 3D print one
you like fishing small streams in NJ, you should fish on a over cast days, you need a 5ft fly rod for small streams, I have in NJ for over 60 yrs and still fishing...
Thanks for the Video. Just as a post note, if you use your boat 2 or more times a week in salt water it really is pointless to even flush your motor. It's the scaling or rust build up in your cooling galleys in the engine block that causes the problem. When you use your boat often the scaling or rust doesn't get a chance to build up because it is washed away every time you run your engine. If you only use your boat 2 or 3 times a month I would flush after every use.
@fishin360 Understood. Rods have a natural spline or bending parabola. Meant to flex in one direction. Lived all my life in NJ and live about an hour away from Round Valley. I've always wanted to try it.
first one around 7:10 was a brownie from what i see in the video. Yellow bottom and fins and the tan body. 2nd one at 9:18 was a brook trout tho. I dont tend to find both species in the creeks i fish, it's either one or the other! I reckon you can find wild tiger trout there which is cool to me. For the small creeks i like to throw really tiny jigs, the smallest ones i can cast the better. hard to see em. Otherwise this winter i did have some luck casting flies on strike indicators (aka bobbers lol) and drifting them in the deeper holes.
Yeah, you’re right. The first one was a brown. I guess I had Brookies on the brain and didn’t really take a good look at it now I have to change the title lol
If you want to make a good video show at first, what you’re using the fish with what lures are using what line you’re using what are you using? What deep of water you’re using for the presentation of the lures… not everybody’s looking for just seeing your fish on the end of the line.. just saying you will get more viewers!
You’re right on the first Fish I screwed up, but I barely touched him. The second fish by the rock, I dunked my left hand in the water, but you didn’t see because of the camera angle. And the rest of the video shows my hands were wet.

Nice video. Our rivers are fairly high at the moment so I'm thinking of euro nymphing but like yourself I've never done it before. I notice you have a sight indicator on your leader, does this work or do you just feel the bites ?
I’ve had this same problem for a long time. Tore it apart and soaked the water lines. That fixed it for a few months. Now it started again. I just replaced my lid lock device.
