@@mikeanderson9613 hey there. So yes. In my school I have learned product knowledge and how to use them on different clients. You will learn all about product ingredients and what you should and should not use and on who. We use the Dermalogica product line in school but through research I have learned about product ingredients and what the key ingredients do and they affect skin functions. This is normal throughout most skin care lines. You will figure out what product line works best for you and your business as you began practicing the art.
@TouchedByTyHairCo im not sure how well ill do in school and will i find a job after im done. And im not sure if there is any men in skin care, im also about to start up studying to get my license as a massage therapist
@@mikeanderson9613That’s a perfect opportunities for you to stand out!!! And you can speak to MEN because a lot of don’t take care of their skin and don’t know how too! Don’t let that stop you. What we may see as a con or a difference is actually a blessing! Be encouraged! Sorry Ty, I had step in on this one to give some encouragement 😊 I didn’t mean to answer for you. But I would love to hear your perspective on this as well Ty.
@@mikeanderson9613 we need more men in skincare. There are a few great male estheticians I follow. Dm me. So we can talk more. My esthetician page is @touchedbytybeautyco on IG. I’ll throw you some good male estheticians to get inspo from. But your needed in this industry. You will do amazing
This is so relaxing watching you give her a facial! Forgive me if I’m speaking too soon (because you seem to be multitalented) but I feel like facials is going to be your thing, because you are so gentle and relaxing and thorough! And your analysis was very informative. If I was in your area, you would be my go to facial person….honestly speaking not just blowing smoke! Especially honing in on hyper-pigmented skin or skin concerns for women of color…you could definitely niche down to that! Just my opinion!
To be honest, I feel the same way. I love the skin care side of being a cosmetologist and I think it's something I'm going to transfer into full time. I will continue to make custom units, but I'm think I'm leaning into to taking care of my queens with skin care. Believe it or not, black women don't have a lot of representation for quality skin care in esthetics. I really do love it here!
I’m starting back in the industry. I’ve been licensed as a Cosmetologist since 2015 but I am getting back into the industry offering brow services. Good luck to you 😊 Are you a fellow veteran?
I just a sign up for ogle esthetician program here in dallas tx im waiting on Financial aid to call me back o. Thursday. Im a little doubtful about going
Hello there! I happened to stumble across your youtube channel and have been looking for a hair specialist for black hair in San Antonio. Do you have a website where I can look at some of your work? I am in San Antonio as well, I have natural hair (chemical free for over 14 years)
Hey there. Not sure if you have Instagram but a lot of my work😮 is there. You can also message me there as well. On instagram it’s @ TouchedByTyHairCo feel free to message me there with questions ❤
Thank you for sharing your story you're truly an inspiration I'm going back to nail school for the second time as well to your pep talk has really inspired me thank you and God bless you 🙏❤🙏
I don't always comment but I'm watching and liking. Thanks for sharing your journey, you're very inspiring and your place is beautiful! May God continue to bless and keep you❤
This was the whole kit. I joined the makeup program. That came with a full makeup kit and and eyelash extension kit. That portion is extra (1800 hour program) at the location in Tyson's, Va
IM CRYING. This was beautiful!!! Take your time mom take your time. God is good say what all the time. Blessings to your family. ❤Congratulations son ❤
I just came across your channel today. I’ve been eye balling the portal shampoo bowl for a couple of days now I seen it on ETSY Do you still use it? If so, what was the outcome? ❤
I do still use it and the one I have is from a company called Pratts Direct. That is the one that I stand behind. I still use it and its still works amazingly.
So, I'm in SA and went to check out both schools. And now Paul Mitchell has the best kit for 1500 hours. They include an eyelash extension kit, hair extensions kit and makeup kit + the Cosmetology kit. It's worth almost $3,000.
Thanks for this video. Love your honesty about getting tired after 6 months. I am enrolling next year and now I know what to expect. I will be 29 and I am a new mom. I want to get in and out, mind my business, learn what I need and stay out of any drama from the young girls. All the best to you!
Thats smart what you did with the polish to identify your bag. When I was in nail tech school some girl grabbed my bag by mistake. They were all the time. I ended up getting a rolling case. But thats rly smart.
I'm binge watching all your Cosmetology school videos! It gets me super excited bc its cosmo is something I've been wanting to do for a while. Thank you for sharing. Ps. Did they give you guys monthly direct deposits for attending school?
Where did u end up going? I went to Milan in San Antonio to be a nail tech. But wish I'd of done Cosmetology instead bc they didn't teach me s&*# there. I heard all nail tech schools are the same. Btw, thank you for the info!
I have the same sink but for some reason I haven’t been able to get the water to come through fully. I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong. Do you have a video of the setup?
