Lucky for him the hoses did not have RR brand, otherwise the aftermarket would add another zero in the back, and he would still consider it as a good deal.
I’ve said it many times- the wealthy are the most ripped off group of people in the world. The only reason those parts are so expensive is because millionaires buy them.
I use to have a black over tan interior 1992 535i ,5 speed back in 1996. I loved that car, it was comfortable it was fast in its day, but it got stolen in 1999 😠
Such a handsome good looking car the E39 , what a beauty ❤ My two favorite German sedans are the E39 and the Mercedes Benz W211 ,E class ❤ , oh and i also subscribed to your channel 👍🏼
I'm late to your channel, and i like your videos 👍🏼 great detective work, and what makes the best mechanic is one like yourself that properly diagnoses the issues at hand.
I had a 2011 550xi , bought it used, and it was really nice and off the line power was impressive, but then came all the problems... it turned out to be to much to keep up with money wise... it's a shame since it's such a comfortable car , someone like myself 6² height , plenty of room but way too many issues it was ridiculous and almost cost me a marriage 😃
3:19, BMW gearbox (ZF)? Those hose prices from RR are simply outrageous. 6:55, any reputable hydraulic line manufacturing company should be able to crimp a new hose onto the existing steel lines, I've had quite a few AT cooler lines replaced in the past. 10:06, they did a great job, even better than simply crimping on a new hose.
Hi Euroworks Boss :) THANKS SO MUCH for this excellent video, showing your way to DO things in the SMARTER manner. You are excellent. Have a nice life. :)
@@DEEuroworks unfortunately, the RR vs BMW moniker is enough to separate the part numbers... It would have to be someone familiar with the appearance of the BMW 7 series or such caliper.... Subscribed, thank you
He must drive this as an everyday car. Cars like this shouldn’t be driven daily. When you wear them down the car starts having mechanical issues. And you know it’s an arm and a leg to get them fixed
They are bmw parts not rolls royce. And there will be generic version . Look om line. Just looked for those parts oem spec by bosch £1000 with all fitting
@@keithnewton8981 I have seen those too and those are not the same that came on this car per its vin and won’t work for it unfortunately. I listed the part numbers and cost on the comments if you would like to take a look. Thanks for your comment.
Very nice car. I like your attention to detail. Even though it doesn’t contribute to the mechanics, the fact that you washed down the engine bay shows you care about the customers car.
You didn't mention the labor or maybe I missed it. Looks like lot of hours and labor costs involved removing and replacing. How much labor average for something like that? On the underside of the car next to the oil filter the lines you replaced is that the metal or the rubber section? If it's the rubber section I am astonished how poor that design is. They have all this undercarriage protection but right where a rock could go up and slice the rubber line they have nothing. If it's metal for the line there then not that bad.
@@joelowens5211 it’s roughly 10-12 hours to remove and replace the lines, the lines are pretty tucked away on the side of the engine above the subframe, there is also undercarriage cover. The front part of it they do sit kind of low, but they are covered with hard covers.
