Stop buying tires from your regular tire guy. He’s ripping you off because rubber is expensive so he is putting steel under the rubber to increase the weight and to save his cost
@@kevinlarson7870 inside the bore is the grease to lubricate the gear for the 4WD actuator. It’s been clean and add more grease. The bearing mounting surface on the knuckle also been cleaned before the new bearing go on. On the new bearing also comes with new O-ring to seal the grease from leaking out. The actuator is vacuum operated if it leak 4WD not gonna work then have to replace it too. Thanks for watching!
@@GabLeGamer This truck had 3in lift front and rear and the tires is too big than original, it blow the rack n pinion seal and pressure line, plus weak suspension causing the front tires cupping that bad.
I have a 2017 chevy silverado and sending alot bad signals to the main module, check engine ligth , the manometers star acting crazy up and dawn , no steering gets to hard , no ac , no ligth on the drive , neutral o reverse , transmicion kicks like wen you have a bad trans , all this has to be with the electronic rack and pinion ? The pumps are 12 volt DC so you can also test the pumps by making yourself two jumper wires to run from your battery. Disconnect the cable connection to the pump and make note of size terminals. Get yourself the correct terminal connectors to attach to the pump terminals so that they don't touch each other. Take the other end of your jumper cable and touch one to your battery + post and then shortly test to - post of your battery. Just for a second or two to do a bump test. I had one pump that would spin but the other did not so I have the choice to order only 1 pump before tearing into it. Wiring from the pumps: Red is hot and black is ground.
@@Eurospec73 shop air around 90 to 100 psi. After the the needle down to green and let it sit for about 5 min if the needle not drop that mean the system has no leak
@@silverstonespov5291 That seems awfully high. I just used a coolant pressure tester yesterday on my car and the directions said to put no more than 14 1/2 pounds of pressure for no more then 10 minutes tops. If you cant bold it for 10 minutes it’s good. If not then you have a leak somewhere.
Thank you for this video….worked perfectly. I have a clicking noise after installation though…any thoughts what this might be? Could this be a calibration issue?
@@larrylara7968 if everything line up perfectly when you install, especially the little piece that connect the actuator to the blend door then it could be bad actuator. Or you can try to disconnect battery to calibrate it. I’m install a lot of actuator but never have to calibrate them just note the position the one came out and the new one going in

I bought a new rack n pinion for a 2003 infiniti g35 coupe on Facebook market and it looks longer according to my mechanic. But it shows on this video the old rack n pinion looks shorter..
Long or short a little just the inner tie rod ends, we can adjust on the outer tie rod ends, as long as the rack brackets and hardware and everything else is right it okay
