Nice. I sure miss my 3K engine. I had it blue printed myself. Cam 3 by VW Precision. Port and polished. Tri angle valve. OEM Twin Aisan carburetor. 4:1 Nodalos headers. Slightly 0.25mm oversized piston. And a 5 speed transmission. It could happily rev up to 9000 rpms.
The radiator support was all shaped and mounts added to suit an S13 Silvia radiator for when the SR20 was going in. The Inlet/ outlets were on the wrong side for a k series engine but could easily swap them over if your handy with a tig👍
hi, nice work, glad to see it still has the big port cyl head 3K-B. did you put a slightly lumpy cam in it? these ks go so well with a cam, extractors, and twin side draughts! cheers
Aw Man, that would have turned into nothing but an absolute masterpiece. I have restored my Ke-20. you may remember I commented on a video of yours about 7-6 months ago. My videos are in Urdu, and my build was MUCH less detail oriented than yours. It's sad to see that a peer had to give up on their project. best of luck for future builds!
@@ocdgarage8319 family is the first priority. I had to put my channel second to refocus on priorities. I took care of my duties at home, and focused on restorating my car. Hadn't posted a video in 6-7 months. Now that the car is restored and I have some time freed up, I'm putting out more content. Balance is very important
Hey mate, we both would have been down to about 18-20psi. In the Prado I normally do crossings like these in 2nd gear 4L. Fast enough for momentum but low enough if you need the torque to get out. Have fun, it’s an awesome spot👍
Good job so far on yours, mine is getting body work and paint done, doing the original silver gray on mine. Unlike yours, steering wheel is on the left, hehe.
@@ocdgarage8319 I’m kidding.. I just sold A Toyota Corolla… 20 yrs old.. it looked show room New..if the back bumper was Painted & the hood painted it could passed for show room new.. one of the best cars ever made..😄
What are you using for the manifold gasket? I usually recommend Toyota part number 17172-13050 - three layer steel gasket for a 7K. However, it looks like Toyota has finally discontinued the part.
We came in off the Castlereagh Highway on to Lachaber rd down to the Diggings campground, then just drove around the tracks in the National park. Great part of the world!
