Everything you probably never wanted to know about motorcycle race marshaling, from my very humble perspective. I've been a Level 2 Motorcycle Australia road racing official since retiring from the military. I'm fortunate enough to volunteer my services at club, State, National and International events here across this vast continent. I've been trackside for MotoGP, WSBK, Australian Superbike Championship (ASBK) and myriad vintage and all historic bike and car events.

I've been somewhat bemused by the fact that I know what track officials do on TV as much as the racing itself. Like Doctors and Nurses watching medical dramas, my friends and I often found ourselves yelling at screens (knowing full well that we are by no means perfect ourselves).
