It’s sad that pilots lose their lives wether they are rookies or aces a single second could mean life or death Albert Knew the risks yet continued to fly setting more than just an example but forging history with the wings and propeller of his aircraft allowing his name to live on just like manfred von Richthofen who died one year later
I came across Heartstopper when a few of my friends started talking a lot about the Netflix series. Curious, I really wanted to see what the fuss was about. And it did not disappoint! The show made me laugh, it made me cry, it made me angry that people like Harry Greene and Ben exist in real life and I even learned more about my own sexuality. Although Charlie, in terms of school, is very relatable, I could relate a lot more with Nick. He was confused who he liked and so was I. It was nice having characters who are just as confused, yet curious about the LGBTQ+ community like I did. And quickly, I became part of it :D After I finished the series, I knew I HAD TO read the Heartstopper graphic novels and my God, it was a great experience. As I want to be a writer, I'm happy there are people like Alice Oseman who represent people in the LGBTQ+ community like real people. And I'm so excited for reading more of her work. Currently, I'm reading Solitaire. I knew, of course, it's a different theme to the Hearstopper series, but I personally don't mind. I like different types of themes in books :) I know this comment is really big, but, thank you Alice Oseman. You've helped me and a lot of my friends throughout troubled times.
All I need to know is there going to be another solitaire book like a part 2 or something I finished the book rn and I need another one like, I need to know what happens to tori and Michael did they get hurt in the fire, are they gonna be together
Alice Osemn is my favorite author! I read heartstopper first because it was recommended by the librarian! then I read solitaire, radio silence, then I was born for this. I read loveless then this winter and now I'm waiting for nick and charlie to get to my library.
Like U.S Marine Sergeant John Basilone, went back to the fight when already a hero and did not return. Thank you for this wonderful tribute. I hope it inspires our youth.
Shortly before his death, Albert wrote home that he was "sick of killing" and "beginning to feel like a murderer." He was a thoughtful man, a killer by necessity and a hero against his inclination.
A trip to the Royal Airforce museum in Hendon with my 10 yr old nephew brought me here and I was intrigued to find out more about Captain Albert after seeing that beautiful photo ....thanks for sharing
finished this book a few minutes ago definitely worth a read, I actually got to meet Alice because she came down to Durham waterstones for a signing today
