CA19-9 is a cancer marker bloodtest. It will tell the oncologist about a protein found in the blood, to help diagnose and monitor pancreatic cancer and other conditions. There are very limited options for surgery. Talk to an oncologist and start chemotherapy.
Had a C-section almost a week ago. No one prepares you for the pain! Watch out for constipation and take plenty of fluids and stool softener- learnt that the hard way. I have pain flare ups and soreness but getting slightly better as days go on. Keep up mamas, we just had our bellies cut open and no one should expect us to be miracle workers around the house. Much love❤
Same here. Had a c section 9 days ago and oh the worst week of my entire life. I can’t even get out of the bed without someone helping me out. It’s day 9 now and ngl the pain is dying down. But still I’m not recovered yet. Can walk slowly. Can’t bend. Can’t sleep on sides. Can’t even dress pants alone, someone has to help them up for me.
I had my second c section 2 weeks ago. The first time I had it I felt SO wrecked! It took a few weeks before I felt remotely able to do anything "normal". The second time, maybe because it was planned and not an emergency, I feel pretty good 2 weeks in. A lot of it for me is mental healing too, but now I'm pushing myself more and that's not good either! Gotta take it slow and be patient and rest as much as possible l. Hard to do with a toddler too!
I am having Unilateral TMJ replacement with Leforte 1 osteotomy. One side joint is ankylosed. I am afraid the pristine side will haves been contracted all along and when getting into surgery it will not open due to the contracture..... But we will only have planned to replace the 1 joint. Doc, do you have any thoughts on bilateral tmj replacement when one joint is bad, one is pristine but the jaw hasn't moved for a while
Long ago (as a child) I saw an illustration of fish in a stream with the vantage point at the level of the fish. They were looking up at the water's surface, where leaves were floating by. I thought that leaves must be to fish what clouds are to us. //
For several days I listened to (and benefitted from) the 5-minute mindful breathing video. Today, with the discovery of this video I see that there are many other videos from Epworth. Fantastic discovery. Thank you for these helpful resources.
Interesting video! Have you heard about OncoSil for pancreatic cancer treatment? It could be a game-changer. Would be awesome to see it discussed in your next video!
Great video on nutrition and pancreatic cancer! Have you heard about OncoSil, an innovative treatment for pancreatic cancer? It delivers targeted radiation directly to the tumor, potentially offering new hope for patients. It would be fantastic if you could explore this groundbreaking technology in one of your future videos. Keep up the excellent work!
Mine was picked up accidentally, I’ve just had a MRI on the pancreas my Dr surgeon said if it’s a cyst it will most likely be ok and it’s just matter of watching it. Thank you for this video .
This genuinely makes my night routine so much better. After a warm cup of tea. Brushing my teeth and washing my face. I listen to this and feel a very nice calm, and i can fall asleep peacefully.
Not true. The CT or MRI will locate the mass. There are a number of diagnostic tools that can be used. Once you identify the mass, a biopsy should be done. There are also blood tests (CA19-9) that can identify a protein found in the blood, to help diagnose and monitor pancreatic cancer.
A lot of the staff were there for a long time, it speaks volumes about that kitchen. This was the best kitchen I worked in as a chef for 32 years. The food was outstanding but most of all it was a happy kitchen and the staff were treated with respect. I always looked forward to a shift there, whether I was agency or coming from another Epworth kitchen.
This is the best no-BS meditation on breath that I've listened to. No need to control my breath, no need to calm or empty my mind. Thank you for a great video!
i used to think that meditation is pseudoscience. but found out that it works physiologically. out of all the cheesy videos with background music and pictures of mountain rivers this one stands out with simplicity, soothing voice and effectiveness. thank you!
This is absolutely fantastic content. A related book I read was my personal game-changer. "A Life Unplugged: Reclaiming Reality in a Digital Age" by Theodore Blaze
Hello and thank you! I have been practicing progressive relaxation since 1974, learned from Dick Sutphen's book on self-hypnosis. That practice does not use the tense-then-relax technique so I had never tried it. I am currently in palliative care on the journey to hospice care and I would like to thank you for this much needed experience and practice. I have always taken fairly good care of and enjoyed the capabilities of my body until experiencing serious heart problems beginning a few years ago. Since then my body has ranged from tense and uncomfortable to constant pain as I journey my way through this experience. Your Progressive Relaxation video left me feeling more relaxed and comfortable than I have since January 2019. Despite the health challenges, I maintain my exercise, yoga and meditation practices as much as the challenges to my body allow. This video and practice will make that much more comfortable and help me maintain the joy that brings to my life. Thank you for easing this journey for me.
Wow…..I’m a 23yr old man dealing with a panic disorder & agoraphobia, your resilience & positive outlook despite your adversity is truly inspiring , thank you and may you find peace & joy for the remainder of your life and in the after
Hello, I read about a good doctor, David Wardill, but I can't find his email anywhere... I am a 23 year old guy, I did a CT scan, with oral and intravenous contrast, on which I was found to have a strong prolapse of the stomach and intestines. After speaking with his local radiologist, he concluded that this could be due to internal hernias, which may prevent the stomach and intestines from returning to their normal anatomical position. Please, if you have the opportunity to see my pictures, I will be very grateful! I can email them, but I don't know which one, so that Dr. Wardill can look at them.
