We are Sue & Mark, and have been retired on the road full-time RV since June 2017, in our 2014 Newmar Dutch Star 4369 motorhome named "Myles". We started out with exactly zero experience, but an abundance of enthusiasm!
Our channel was born on December 7th 2018, and will show you what we chose to do in each of the states we visit, along with maintenance & repair tips and the costs, our remodeling along the way, as well as tons of RV Tips & Tricks videos thrown in!
This lifestyle will turn everything you used to know and do on its head. It will make your old life seem new again, and test your relationship with your travel partner! The goal is to make this all happen while providing you with a satisfaction and appreciation of truly breathing in life as it was meant to be consumed.
🚌 Graduate with a Masters Degree in RV Lifestyle,........and a minor in Living Outside The Box! 🌈
Catching up on videos. Been busy seeing the Canadian Maritimes. Great advice in the video. Diesel engines do not need much tome to warm up. If idling it is best to get the idle up, as you mentioned. It does two things, it runs the air pumps and airs up the coach faster, and it promotes better diesel combustion and reduces the risk of cylinder wash down.
Wow! How did you get so smart counselor! Hope you had some great travels in Canada. Sue & I are going to Niagara Falls on the Canadian side on our way over to Foxboro Mass. for the start of our Adventure Caravans Guided RV Historic East Coast Caravan Tour later this summer. Passports are ready!
I’m in Chattanooga and ride both the river walk and the sochick trails as much as possible!! The latter starts/ends a couple miles from my house so it’s super convenient! Thanks for video!!
Watched my first video of you guys and I love your tour of the trail. I’m glad you guys really enjoy Wisconsin. I’m a proud Wisconsin resident and enjoyed your footage. I’m subscribed to your page now.
Funny, I live in Chattanooga and cycle off road, mountain biking, a lot but have only ridden about half of the riverwalk. You have inspired me to ride the complete route…IN MYNOWN CITY! Thank you very much for the video. Super well shot and edited.
💬 I was born & raised in Deer Lodge and Anaconda. I worked on the crew remodeling the old joint into a museum using the whole south end with the " nowadays - mostly " Towe Antique Fords, Offices, and the parking lot. 🤠 Yup❕ G~ G. ☑ - 📝 > 🗳 = * 🗽*
So you really know first hand what an amazingly interesting museum this place is! I am sad for the folks that made the bad choices that sent them there.
you skipped the most important detail. How do you actually input an address. The logic is kinda backwards. First, you type number, then street and then you get address could not be found. It's totally idiotic. Not being able to find any company like on google map, makes this garmin nav a damn expensive paper weight ! Definitely not worth the money
I have to say that without even knowing it, we have seemed to adapt to the various tricks to make "almost" every destination or address work. It takes some patience to find out the quirks. When we do have an issue, we will just iput the address of business name next door to or near the final stop.
Oh my gosh, that was awesome. Now I’m definitely going to have to get us E-bikes and start planning trips around activities like these. We usually just site see in our Jeep or with our Spyders, but having the bikes opens up a whole other layer of exploring.
Please do! I hope you can carry cruiser style full size E-bikes. The folding style are not comfortable at all for this old guy. I would NOT ride them if that was my only option,.......period.
Hope that goes well for you. Sometimes you have to get the right person to connect with when you are looking at buying something so expensive and so complex,....... REMEMBER,........you can always just cut to the chase and go right to the top of the NIRVC Sales food chain and contact Director of Sales Angie Morell at 214-392-1100. She is the most qualified & easy to talk to RV expert that I have ever met. If I was buying a rig, I would always start with her.
great video. also I don't hear on these RV videos is, start RV-ing with a saved budget. Im upgrading to a Motorcoach and starting out with an RV-Savings account. and adding $100 every paycheck.
one thing to mention about partners is, Can they help? Are they willing to learn? with little things. most of the successful RV videos that I see, both work together and fix things.
Sue & I always say that if we didn't each do 60% of the work, we wouldn't be able to continue. Teamwork marks the dreamwork,......as corny as it sounds.
Another great video. Both trails looked great. The boardwalk was really cool. You two are so lucky to get to travel and check out all these new bike trails. What a fun adventure on your bikes.

Enjoyed the ride with you. I was in elementary school in the 60’s when the air quality was very poor. In the 70’s, the manufacturers were encouraged to leave and a marked increase in the effort to attract tourists was undertaken. This accounts for the investment in the infrastructure such as boardwalks and concrete. It has paid off. Thanks for the video exposure.😊
Another fantastic informative video. We visited Chattanooga in 2021 while cruising the Tennessee River. We too had a nice meal at Tony’s. Their aquarium is well done too. Check out Ruby Falls if you haven’t already. And to enable Mark’s engineering addiction, check out Raccoon Mountain Pumped Station Reservoir. maps.app.goo.gl/YWg6RGPXzXmyJF667?g_st=com.google.maps.preview.copy Curious as to what campground you’re using? One of the ones just over the boarder in GA?
Thanks for watching! Yes, the campground we stayed at was in Georgia,...Holiday Travel Park of Georgia. We have (3) more Chattanooga videos coming up, including Ruby Falls.
Hey, Well the costs in Florida keep climbing I have property in Tn and hell of lot cheaper to live. I've talked to people from Ohio the other day and they and their friends left Florida. Due to cost of living is not affordable there anymore. HOA'S are killing Fl. I know lot of people gone to Franklin TN.
I do not remember it coming into the resort. You would have to drive to a stop. It is a TRANSIT trolley I think,......not a tour. For more information, visit www.pigeonforgetrolley.org or call 865-453-6444
Nice overview! Agreed on both trails - they're great. Two of my favorites. I found the South Chickamauga by chance and couldn't believe it. It really should be a lot better known than it is. The boardwalks are CRAZY.
Yes,...we agree! The Trail Link App has so many great trails to go on, I think they gave up trying to rate them! Folks that love to see the places they are visiting on bikes need to get the Trail Link App!
Man we are fixing to be in Milwaukee for the first time next week in our Dutch Star. I'm trying to map out where to stay, binging on all you guys Wisconsin vids. So glad we found some of your older videos to refer to for ideas! We too have our electric bikes and enjoy getting out on the trails. From Milwaukee, we will head to Green Bay, Door County and then over towards Colorado to end the season before wintering in Arizona. I think you guys are probly on a Fantasy caravan about now which is so fun! We've done a few ourselves. Safe travels! Phyllis & Marc
We are wrapping up our Adventure Caravan Company 31 day Traverse Michigan tour shortly! You will love the bike trail in West Allis at the WI State Fair RV Park. Going east into downtown is fantastic, and going west into Wauwatosa (in a round-about way) is fun as well.
Very nice video guy’s. Your editing is stellar and the amount of detail you incorporate is wonderful. I’ve linked you video in our “bike trails” file - thank you.
We have had these bikes for almost 6 years now. We still love them because they are comfortable. That is why we actually ride them 20 to 30 miles at a crack, and others with the folding bike form factor hardly every ride them,.......other than inside a campground to take out the garbage.
You had me at the train action. Thanks for that shirt segment Mark. Gorgeous scenery and spectacular trails. Excellent episode this week. Thanks for sharing. Stay safe, stay well.
Thanks for another wonderful video. The trails were stunning! That said, with Sue being from the Milwaukee area, have you walked or ridden any of the 135 miles of the Oak Leaf Trail? Like you, we stayed at the Wisconsin Fairgrounds RV Park and walked several miles of the trail.
We have done virtually most of that trail system. We DID NOT know how good it was until we started traveling. Turns out, the Oak Leaf Trail and its connections are pretty high up on the bike trail food chain!
Thanks for checking in Adam. We are getting spoiled by some of these trails. Turns out Milwaukee's 136 mile Oak Leaf Trail System is also at the top of many folks lists.
Great video. We would like to go back to Chat, but we are wanted criminals. Didn't pay a parking ticket a few years ago. We may sneak back in someday. We love your videos, The recent ones with Tom and Stacie were cool...Howard and Betty
We are glad we were smart enough to park ourselves for the 4 weeks in Chattanooga TN. We have 3 more videos coming highlighting the awesome things we did there!
What a fantastic review and information for others, really well done!! Thank you guys, we are new subscribers now...we have 4+ more years to Full Time RV (maybe sooner) but we are trying to learn as much as possible before we do this. ❤
Back around 1988. I rented a car at the airport. And I drove. From San Francisco down to Los Angeles. Along the Coastal Highway. Oh My God how Gorgeous! Every stop just took my breath away. I was in paradise! That is one of the worlds greatest drives! A1A in Florida. From Fort Lauderdale down to Key West. Also a lovely drive. Just as long. It's a couple of hundred miles away. In the middle of the ocean. Along the highway you can drive. But if there is a truck accident. You may come to a stop. Elevated above the water. For the next, 6 hours or more. It happened to me. I lost an entire day on the bridge. We were all stuck. Women were freaking out. Nice owners of RVs and motorhomes. Opened up their restrooms to the women. The guys did it the other way. Over the rail. Other people broke open their coolers. And shared their refreshments with others. It was quite a gathering with us all. I have some beer. I shared with others. We figured we would be getting out of there, by morning. And that's when we got out. We were on the elevated highway, all night long. Until they could drive up in the wrong direction with a gigantic wrecker. And rescuing it and the driver. From falling below into the drink. That was quite a process to watch. And the days before camcorders. It was 1979. My 24 hour trip to Key West. Allowed me to turn around at the next Key. And head back home. That was a total bust. A fascinating experience. I really don't want to repeat. At least nobody got hurt. And happened about 300 yards in front of me. It was a good walk up that way. But we were going nowhere for a while. So everyone was out of their vehicles and milling about. It was like a block party. Without the party. A sad, party. Nobody got anywhere that night. There were hundreds of people on that coastal Highway with us. It all came to a halt. Others were fortunate and could turn around at the previous Key. But I saw cars as far as the eye could see. It was a mess. And would cause a huge sudden influx. Into the lower Keys. I'm glad I was going home. I was exhausted. I was up all night. Stream of consciousness. I didn't know I was conscious? OK… OK… So I've had to deal with mice a couple of times now. I have no fear of the mice. They are cute. But they are destructive. And if I had gloves like you have. I would just pick them up. And throw them out. In fact. That's exactly what I had to do once. Yes. Yes I opened up this very expensive piece of Audio Equipment. And I saw no, circuitry. It was just this huge fluffy mound of stuff. And here was this mommy mouse. She is suckling all of her little baby mice. And I am like… OH MY GOD WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE! And with my gloved hand. I picked her and the babies up. Walked to my back door. And threw them out into the grass. Where they belong. I did not kill them. Though mommy mouse. Probably had to go looking for some baby mice? Some went flying off her. I could not be concerned. I had this huge mess I had now cleanup. What a nightmare! So I am not squeamish around mice. I don't want to be around rats. And one night. As I'm drifting off to sleep. In my Motorhome. My early older motorhome. At about 3:15 AM. And as I am having pleasant thoughts, drifting off. I see this cute, Giant Mouse. Down by my feet.…… OH MY GOD WHAT IS THIS! IT'S A POSSUM! HOLY SHIT! IT LOOKS LIKE A GIANT RAT WITH LOTS OF TEETH! WHAT THE HELL IS IT DOING IN MY BED! Well? I think I scared it. As much as it scared me. I had never had anything like that happened to me before. I was in Virginia. This was a Virginia oh possum. Native to the area. I had never seen one up close. Certainly not at the foot of my bed near my feet. Just think how surprised I would've been.. Had it decided to lick my toes. That would have been even more exciting. I was never the same after that encounter. I could never trust my first use white trash motorhome, again. That kind of burnt me out. I'm still not certain how it got into the bedroom? It was the size of a cat. But look like a rat. With a lot of teeth. And it hissed. It sounded creepy.. I scared the hell out of it. It scared the hell out of me! Who expects a wild furry creature joining you in bed? Now I've got a better motorhome. I think? I will find out. I will not be staying in Virginia again. Though I do not like the idea of scorpions nor rattlesnakes. I will do my best to avoid them. I have to get out of Texas. I'm not sure I'll make it. I have to. This has to happen. And in days. I don't know how I'm going to be ready for? I sure could use some help. There is none. None for me. None at all. No help. No hope. I must survive. RemyRAD
