We make Lighting Breakdowns to help build confidence in Studio Lighting. New updates coming soon (from 24th April 2024). Website is on its way but for now join me on TikTok www.tiktok.com/@polaroid_addict
Hi, so helpful ty. I was curious is there any technical guidebooks or other YT channels you recommend- keen to understand studio lighting further but also on location too. Many thanks.
hmm I haven't other channels to be honest, but am sure there are loads. Technical guidebooks are kinda rare just because 1- photographers are sooo secretive and 2- things change so quickly. My recommendation is to find a book with multiple photographers work, its usually more helpful than the basic guides.
@@jppj4067 oh thanks for that! I thought it was Profoto Daylight into HardBox as the light was strong in the video. So you feel it’s Pro but just with modelling light also? Appreciated 🤝
@@easystudiolighting hmmh yeah I think it's a pro head flash since the cord is coming from the back of the head and not the bottom where it's located on the Profoto Daylight... plus you have to insert the head perpendicular to the hardbox as on the video... from what I heard he mostly use flash, but I've never worked with him, I'll ask his former assistant (the one in the video) if I come across him by any chance and let you know!! ahah :) Thanks a lot for you work!! :)
Thanks a lot for this video, I really in love with your approach to show us the stages of light building, it is very helpful to understand! My suggestion for next video is elizaveta porodina!
Hi! are all lighting constant or some of them we should use as an impulse light? is it possible to recreate similar look using 2 impulse light, 2 constant light and natural light ?) thanks!
So you're close but this isn't how he lights it. I know this because it me that lights it 😂 Your set is way too small for a start. And your kinda close with the light setup but only about 60%
That’s cool J, good team to be on. But yeah the goal is always to help people develop and learn. Assistants have even offered behind the scenes images but that’s not the aim. It’s more about talking thru styles and building knowledge and trying to also keep it achievable. 🤝
