I like to make videos about games and media I enjoy. My discord is dacelovestime (or try spectrik if that doesn't work )feel free to contact me with concerns or feedback
@@nunolapa2295 I agree. Guilty Gear is filled with characters like that. Raven, Bedman, Ramlethal, Happy Chaos, Jack O’, Testament, ABA, Sin, Faust, just to name a few of my own personal favorites besides Zato.
@hazamahonoka7439 classic, I like c.S > 2S > 5H into either 22S, 236P, 236S (or sometimes if they're really aggressive 22S ender into 236H) helps me keep pressure
@@Spectrik I had to say that because trying to do Flawless Arcade Nagoriyuki fight stage 8 was hell, I typically start a fight with Zato either using 236K or 2S, but Nagoriyuki could only be hit with 2S, and I would then try to hit 5HS and end up using 236HS anyway. I ended up trying to instead to 2S236S because frog eddie hits faster than snake eddie. I never won btw.
Thanks, I'm glad you like it! I'm a huge fan of armored core, and its music (gens 3 and 4 have some of my favorite tracks and frequency is also really good). Good ear catching it, btw.
Lmao, IKR. Lagging really does make my moves look really dumb 🤣. I didn't even mean to do most of that stuff, especially drunkard shade at the end (it was a super, but it got ate by lag)
Thank you very much. To be truthful, my mind isn't fully settled, but I have been studying up on him and decided to record my first impressions of him. Hopefully, I didn't get too much wrong, lol.
Nice video! I've been going in heavy with Slayer. People already found pilebunker loops and Kara cancels with his dash jump. I can do the pilebunker loops in a match but dang the kara cancels are rough. Although the loops are probably better anyways since they get you a ton of damage.
Yep. The loops require specific setups so the opponent gets stuck behind you after you pilebunker them. It lets you then pick them back up with a c.S and keep comboing afterwords. Surprisingly easy to do since you can set it up after an rrc.
We do a little Eddieing around. Funnily enough, I just came from your testament video, and here's a video of me fighting a testament, how serendipitous
@@Spectrikyo buddy i just responded to your comment on the nago- zato match, if u still like playing axl im always looking to improve on that match up, i play east coast lobbies on ps5. I try to play a couple times a wreck when im off work, feel free to shoot me ur info if u even wanna get some sets going. Very nice zato btw, i have a bit of trouble with testaments so seeing that comeback was dope 😊
@cdubbs19891 Thank you very much. I don't play axl like at all anymore, focusing on Zato and Pot almost exclusively. My discord is in my bio so feel free if you're down for a set
When you stand at full screen and land a shot, it's generally really good to take the opportunity to focus. Once the first shot is blocked, you do generally have a little time to loop if the opponent isn't dash blocking you like a maniac. Concentration runs out very quickly at range, but setting up focus state and running in is nice. Season 3 nerfed guard crush zoning, so it's unlikely that zoning by itself will lead to checkmate, but there's still spots to make use of the gun to buy precious time to take back resources or apply a little pressure from distance or get a punish. Also, I dug the AC4A music in the video. Very nostalgic.
Got into this situation with zato recently. It's pretty miserable. Luckily, I can usually shut it down with the command grab from across the screen before they get set up as axl
@@SpectrikI kinda forget Axl has that most of the time since it can be dodged easily. But that, and Axl’s tornado (which can tank a few cubes) definitely make it slightly more bearable for Axl.
Bro i heard the music and my immediate thought was "hey i recognize that song" and i checked and it was autobahn and now i'm thinkin "kinda weird to pick a Frequency song for guilty gear but ok" In summary You have good taste
Yeah, I love using Armored Core music. This one is the original AC nexus version. Most of the songs make for really good background music, especially for showcases and clips
If you liked this and want to see me make more, a subscription would be absolutely appreciated. I've just started my guilty gear journey and hope that I can keep this progress up Here's the sequel: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-gvunCwkXYgM.htmlsi=sLjStJePilaq9eSv
First of all that Jhonny is not only new to Jhonny he is new to the game, this is bullying in all levels. Second I actually agree with the first statement of "You will never be able to zone an Axl" Once I starting zoning and looping an axl with Nago(prolly because he thought it was his winning matchup) he dced, couldnt win the round, but sure as hell stopped his ascension to celestial.
I did not mean to bully. I'm extremely new myself, this was meant to be a learning moment uploaded. I sincerely hope he took this match as an example of what not to do and adjusted from there like I did.
@@Spectrik I mean what you are doing is clearly bullying tho. It's not like you left gaps for him to understand what works and what don't. You just kept frametrapping him until he died??
@imtiaze642 In these clips, yes, these were the best examples of him misunderstanding the matchup In the games we played. I chose them because they were the most egregious. It's how I learned tekken by being beat and bullied for dozens of matches, it's a rather effective teacher. His main mistake was not mixing up his approaches. This would be very different if he did. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-mFKNC6fziJw.htmlsi=3p8LncbaVhRPqBPw Here's an example of me really bullying lol
@@Spectrik Doesn't really change the fact that you are experienced in fg against a babys first fg guy I think, picked a character that pretty well a scrub killer. Also that tekken clip is fine, who wakes up mid.
@imtiaze642 Im unfamiliar with frame trapping but thank you, it's my first 2d fighter I got a couple weeks ago or so it's been good but a difficult change from tekken had to unlearn some bad habits. Edited after figuring stuff out like FG and to correct time frame mispeak
While it's true he's inexperienced it's good that he came up against me so that he can learn how to deal with axls. I want to help raise up new players (as a rather new player myself)
This the the first part I told another person True, but he sacrifices more resources at a longer range while axl doesn't. Plus, HC lacks an unblockable long-range option. And while that holds up, I want to add that what makes a zoner isn't long-range options, but optimal range outside of the enemies optimal range
Yeah those are rough matchups against an axl from what I've seen. Sometimes I challenge them in a room and they dip lol, I can't blame potemkin players though it's such a lopsided matchup
Thanks for the inspiration I went ahead and made a sequel to this video and I learned that in some situations the gun is pretty useful for zoning but axl still has the better zoning kit
