Thanks for coming to my RU-vid Channel! This Channel has been created for the sole purpose of connecting with others. Whether, you came here for beat tutorial vids or how to vids, or type beats, I'm here to connect with you. My creative process, our what I call "Secret Sauce" will be a MAJOR KEY on this journey.
Great video! I usually program drums with midi and a sequencer in my DAW, but I did buy an Alexis Nitro Max kit - thinking it’s a better way to capture the performance of a real drummer, but still lets me pick the samples, tweak the feel, and velocities. Debating the new Addictive Drums 2.5 versus EZDrummer 3. Your opinion?
So yes have an Ekit is a definite cheat code to getting more of an accurate sound. I’m would say AD 2.5, personally I enjoy how easy AD makes my workflow.
Maaaaan I'm so excited to try this out. Their Reel Machines pack has been my go to for that sound, I'm a big fan of how they process the samples and they just *work* for whatever I use them in. Definitely getting the same vibe from this kit. Cheers!
I bought a cheap e-kit a few years ago. At first, I was kinda bummed at how it didn't sound very good. Didn't seem to trigger all the time and reliably. I thought about selling it or trading it for something else, and then someone recommended I first try plugging it into my computer to trigger addictive drums, which I already had. The difference was AMAZING! I mean, I would not have thought that the brain would make the playability better, but it made a HUGE DIFFERENCE in not only the sound, but the playabililty as well. Playing through the brain was 'iffy'. Sometimes, it wouldn't trigger. But when connected to AD, all the problems with trigging go away instantly!
Thanks for making this - Is there a way to KEEP the instruments on Flexi1 and Flexi2 that we've mapped, when cycling through Kit Presets (they seem to keep disappearing) ?
This question is exactly why I watched this video. I have the same issue. I am wondering if this is caused by the "label" assigned to the cable. Is there a forum for ekit users????
