Hey! Yes, this is different to Code with Antonio's app. The tech stack varies quite a bit since we're using Clerk for Authentication and Stream's Chat and Video SDKs. Antonio does a lot more manual setup with his own database solution using tools like PlanetScale, Prisma, and Socket.io. It's two different approaches to solving the challenge of building a complex tool like Discord. Have you seen both videos? Which style would you prefer for building an app like this?
We haven't worked with this library before, but there are a lot of alternatives for Clerk authentication. Let us know if you're tried to build the project with AuthKit, we'd love to know how it went! :)

Let's say I want to implement this in a system, how would I do it to differentiate more than one call and make two calls at the same time with two groups of users? Would it be using the caller ID and sharing it like Google Meet or would there be a way to make a "contact list" for each user?
Could you be more specific when this error appears? The secret should be located in your .env file. The user token is generated inside the /token route using a POST request.
Thanks you so much for your tutorial, you are awesome, i have a question, i'm building an streaming application and using the same project for both the streamer and the viewver. My question is: it's better to use two separate projects like you do in the video? because i noticed that the audio in the viewver perspective is not working, i'm using a React native route for the streamer and another for the viewver.
When I create the react-native project it doesn't install the dependencies and I can't type the npm run ios to create and develop my iOS app, can someone tell me why it doesn't install the dependencies? Thanks

Can we create different groups(segregate viewers) out of existing Live viewers as broacaster? Also how can we control the group of participants controls? For example suppose a broadcaster would like to create 5 groups from 20 live viewers (4 in each group). Now Broadcaster need to allow 2 participants audio/video for a say role play? Please suggest?
Thanks for the question. The scenario you're describing is definitely possible with our SDK. We offer a lot of freedom to have different roles and capabilities for participants of a call or livestream. One suggested approach (note, that there are multiple options here) could be to group viewers through client-side logic and then promote certain participants to another role (e.g. moderator or any other naming you like) who then have the capability to share audio/video. it's stupid to use clerk in a project like this, it's a tool to fast forward development in a production project. In a project like this well the goal is teaching, you should 100% use a classic auth so that students learn the complex road of creating and managing authing without relying on an external service that you can install and setup in 5min tops and do everything for you. It's like teaching people how to buy a wordpress theme.
