At last,straight edged. I have been knitting for 82 years (I am 85) and have just started crochet. The edges are always regged and my stitches irregular. I go to a craft group and all the girls sit and crochet so I thought I would do the same. Thanks for this video, great. Regards, Dennis

I was very disappointed in this video. I do not read reviews first as I want to judge a video first on its own merits, but in this case I wish I had read the reviews. This is DEFINITELY advertisement. Such a waste of time.

For anyone who hasn’t seen the video, this is mostly an advertisement. On the website for the board manufacturer the mini board is $52 and the large is ~$106 but don’t worry, there’s other more expensive options. Given that I have a 12” x 12” blocking board already that cost less than the mini, this brand/product review with ~2 minutes of info on how to block did not answer my question. So I might as well ask here. Can/should you steam block with the project already pinned? I usually wet block but borrowed a steamer from a friend.

With single crochet you always work into the first single crochet of the previous row. You only skip the first stitch with the taller stitches.

This is how i learned to crochet. That is the normal for most patterns i have read. Good video and explanation.

I was one of the people who searched for hours and hours trying to make a crochet design and got frustrated when it looked wrong or the stitches weren't correct. When I decided to do a scarf, this was the first video that came up which was everything I was expecting it to be, SLOW, EASY and CLEAR TO UNDERSTAND, and when she told me to relax, I did. This video made crocheting a non-stressing thing and I have made a beautiful masterpiece from it. To support this channel, I have liked and subscribed to it and I want to be a part of the community that watches her amazing videos. Like this comment if u agree.

I've been doing it like this and didn't realise there was another way. Come to think of it when I was learning I must have watched videos on the other method and not understanding why it was wonky. I found another video which did it as you described as I have been doing it ever since. I thought I was doing it wrong!

I’m a beginner I’ve been so frustrated trying to figure out how to get straight edges. So happy you posted this to make us feel like we’re not going crazy. Was making a baby blanket out of the Bernet Blanket Yarn I gave up !!! The ends were so bad it was so frustrating. On U-tube it looked so easy. Praying this works for me as a beginner. Now I need to get my tension down. Love your tutorials. Love the two toned hat !!!!! Gosh it’s brilliant can that be made in a child’s size 5 to 7 year olds. Thanks ❤😂🎉
