That hunted in Brewery was insane. 33 kills with just the revolver. Accuracy is incredible. The point is that one has to be quick and to target the locations of spawn. Not easy at all.
I must be the unluckiest person playing this game. Anytime I play Capture or Assault, I get tackled from all angles regardless of where I take cover. Pop my head up for one second..... head shot. Enemies never hang back or allow me time to maneuver.
yeah it’s really hard. my best advice is to never just camp in one spot. for example on shipping yard, i’m ALWAYS moving around, and yes it can be risky running in the open but it specifically says in the tutorial and tip screens that there is a game mechanic in the game where enemies’ accuracy is almost laughably bad when running AWAY or SIDEWAYS from enemies (just not towards). and i also noticed there’s damage reduction applied if the game detects that you’re hit while running. they also lose your location really fast (i play on grounded btw) if you keep changing spots (by just running there or behind tall walls or cover). always relocate, and save your throwables when you’re in a pinch. you’ll know when you’ve re-entered stealth when they go “search the place.” that’s your chance to ambush one, go loud again then relocate, even if you take a few hits while relocating.
I hope this first place stands! I know Joel is the only one left where you haven’t been left in first (even though we all know some shady things happen on top of the leader board at times). Amazing run. Thanks for sharing!
Nice! Was lucky to get the Dead Drop Shotgun but in Brewery I was jumping across gaps, then Joel suddenly got a no-clip glitch and died?? Was speechless for a good minute 😭
Yes, I spent 6 minutes calculating the best route, please skip it and you're welcome 😂 The standout encounters are the 3rd and the 4th. I got unseen on the Gas Station capture and killed two of the clickers resulting in 635 points, could have been 640 if I killed the last clicker (I only stunned it). 635 is my PB for Capture. I did not get the shotgun before the Brewery and thought my run was screwed but I pulled off a great performance, 775 points with 23 headshots and 33 kills on a 4th map Brewery is great for not having dodge/shotty and losing out on the 20 no ally points. The 5th map was going great until I got shot for 60 damage and lost 30 points before multi. I also could not do the boss no-guns. The last two encounters coupled with my unseen being on the lower multi capture not the 3.7x one, will lose me my placement unfortunately, I'm still happy with the run. Thank you for watching!

Man, you’re an absolute savage. That red camera filter on the already-dark Restaurant map would have spooked me out. You just casually mowed down 17 enemies in there, like it was easy. For anyone watching or reading that hasn’t played No Return on Grounded - it is NOT easy. It was very interesting to see you lining up your shots well wide to the right of the door cracks as the Infected squirmed through. You seemed to know where they were going to put their left leg before they even knew.
The first two encounters were bad. Uphill from there, I did well on the 4th map Office 2F, 750 points, I wish it had a higher multiplier. Could have done Houses faster but I got most stuns and all headshots on it. Houses has to be my least favorite map for every mode. Took damage on the boss fight, other than that, it was fine. GGs Val! In my personal opinion Houses is a decent map for a stealth playthrough, and it’s not being rewarded in no return 🙃 definitely one of the worst maps in no return for high scores, regardless of the mode
I knew you placed 2 trap mines to keep them from crawling, but they eventually die anyway, so I didn't understand why you would spend 2 trap mines in one place. And here 22:50, they are still crawling even though you placed 2 trap mines.. So instead of wasting 2 trap mines why not just use 1?
If you look at my 1,056 record on Supermarket, I used 6 trap mines, two in three different spawn spots for many reasons. When they both blow up and get two kills, that counts as a multi-kill because one trap mine damaged both infected, and if a shambler or clicker spawn on them they insta die, which speeds everything up. They significantly speed up the spawns regardless of what spawns on them, and no, if the crawlers die out by themselves it does not count as a kill and you lose out on 10 pts plus the 10 multi kill points. And having a crawler going around without killing them slows down spawns. Two instead of one guarantees double kills/shambler kills/clicker kills. If not for those traps that could have been a 1,000 point max performance. As for Motel, the only reason the clicker didn’t die is because of the increased health mod, which I forgot existed before I placed the traps. If runners spawned on them I would have gotten a multi-kill, just got unlucky there.
@@yeserra_h You don’t. And like I said, if you only use one and it kills one infected and makes the second one a crawler you miss out on the multi-kill, it slows you down because now you have to go kill the crawler and it slows down the spawns.
I see why you prefer Abby’s animations to Ellie’s now… Stabbing someone in the head is so stupid too, you’re not getting a switch blade through someone’s skull. You don’t go for the head with a knife! Anyways it’s a damn shame that the game continuously refuses to give you a shotgun, but luckily you played flawlessly and for that I commend you. The boss was textbook, hunted GOATed as always, great capture (not sure why it didn’t count the multi kill with Molly tho?). At this point they need to put on Super Duper Grounded+ difficulty for players like you haha 🤣 ETA: also this raincoat is my favorite Ellie skin 😅
The theme of my dailies recently has been not getting the shotgun, which is costing me 1st place, the trading post not being consistent for everyone on these dailies was a bizarre decision. This run was pretty much perfect, I took no damage and did every encounter well, but the issue is I did not have the shotgun for Motel, which, coupled with Ellie's slow head-stab melee animation, screwed me out of a high 800+ score on that map, which guarantees I won't stay 1st and cost me the 12k. It sucks you didn’t get the shotgun! There were so many opportunities for multi on the Motel 😭 definitely a bizarre direction from ND to make the trading post different for players, same goes for spawn points on certain encounters. Can totally make a difference on a run. My personal theory was that maybe they want players to do the dead drops to increase the chance of getting the shotty or military pistols. That being said I think there is a chance your placement will stand, the run was very, very good & tough to beat
@@StanStanley3 Thank you! Yeah the dead drops are also a gamble because sometimes doing them can screw you out of a shotgun because they change what options the trading post can give you for the rest of the run.
Yeah, this is one of the more unfortunate decisions for No Return. With the system they have now, there isn't a way to fix it. If I had three Molotovs, let's say, after encounter 3, or whatever, but you didn't, then they're obviously not going to offer me something I already am full on, so that means certain items get bumped depending on what you currently have equipped as well as the recipes you currently have. The only workaround that consistently works for me is not using any items during certain encounters. If you're full on smoke bombs, trap mines, and molotovs as an Ellie character, then you're much more likely to get a shotgun because the trading post isn't going to offer things you already have. I think they should have just done away with the re-roll system altogether. They should have just laid all of the items out for you to purchase like a merchant shop. If you can afford something, great, but if you can't, then you simply don't buy it. It's also annoying to have to purchase the shotgun earlier than you may want to because you know if you're offered it earlier, you're probably not going to have the opportunity again. So you're potentially having to waste all of your coins on a shotgun you don't need until encounter five when you really need to spend the money or bombs and molotovs for a capture or something to get the 50+ for no guns. If someone wants to spend all their money on a shotgun right after the first encounter, I think that should consistently be within the player's control. This randomized shit just fucks us out of a high score or getting what we want to maximize the points in every encounter. Now that I've watched your run and you didn't do the dead drop in the first encounter, I'm going to prioritize it, and I bet I'll get the shotgun later.

I don’t use any accessibility settings nor do I recommend using them because they make you a worse player in the long run. The best tip I can give you is to watch my videos and if you have any questions as to why I’m doing what I’m doing ask and I’ll answer.
