Since 1995 Power Up Auto has been an expert in the Replacement & Repair of Power Window Motors and Regulators. Hope you find what you need on our channel.
you cannot get motor out if riveted or you hane to drill holes in door - never use bolts to secure motor to regulator or regulator to dor they can and will loosen over time always rivet parts . securing motor to regulator w screws is ok
Probably by the passenger kick panel BUT that's not your problem. The windows are on a circuit breaker that resets itself. Your problem is usually the window motor/regulator assembly or the switch.
@@user-oo9jq5jt2f Might be the window switch. Do a web search for power window repair and the city you are in to find someone qualified to check this out. OR Drive down to Florida and I'll take a look.
At the start of the video you mention locking the window out by drilling a hole in exactly where and putting in a screw to keep the window up forever? thanks
@@PowerUpAuto Yes I drilled the rivets out yesterday and used M6 bolts with self locking nuts, but I have not tightened them much to let a bit move play for them
My left rear window literally just fell down after barely pushing the left window button down and won’t come back up. Going to use this for later, thank you. So funny that there is actually specific videos for the left rear window falling lol
does it make any sound? crunching, grinding sound would be the regulator. No sound might be the motor or the switch. Bring it down to Florida, I'll check it out
Have had to replace 2016 Tucson front driver and passengers window regulator panels. The first one, the passenger side, I had done at the dealership for over $1200 which I was charged for both the panel and the motor. The second one I took to a general mechanic and he was able to just order an aftermarket panel and the total cost was less than $600. If you're having these issues, do your homework and find a mechanic you can trust.
The way you doing it is making it very difficult.... the goal is to remove the window from regulator so you can remove the whole black panel from door. Well if you dont take out the speaker first everything is going to be very difficult.. the speaker hole allows you access and room to easily remove the glass from regulator by press in the black tabs... very easy... then once window is off now you can remove the whole panel out .. take before pics before doin this job.the handle is a lil hard but pretty easy if you understand how it comes off. Take out the screw at the top of handle and the bottom part actually pops out after you push in the black flexible clip that hold it in ... u dont have to touch the spring, it pops out towards you. Use light to see lil holding clip better. I did this in 15 min. U should never have to change the integrity of the engineer oem like drilling holes to remove the window
@@PowerUpAuto sorry for the rude comment. I edit the comment about my opinion on the video . I dont have a video but I'll will make one soon and tag u or send a link

These kia's are garbage. My brother bought a 2009 model and had it for 10 years and never had to do anything except general maintenance. So with that glowing review, my wife bought a 2016 and it's just been issue after issue. At this point it has had both the engine and the transmission replaced on warranty. They weren't going to replace the transmission at first, but they said they actually couldn't get it to work with the new engine. Multiple issues with the seat motors almost from day 1. The radio went out for a while, and just when I was about to replace it with an aftermarket unit, it started working again. She has gone through countless headlights, low and high, both sides. One time it burned the wiring harness and we had to take the front clip off to replace it all. And now, the left rear window just started falling down. In 8 years, I bet I can count the amount of times we've put that window down on one hand. I have a 2011 Dodge Avenger Mainstreet that I've had since new. I haven't put a fraction of the amount of money in my car that we have this thing. Kia is shit.
You damaged the insulation foam that besides soundproofing keeps the water away. That must be handled with care and if the insulation goo is damaged butyl tape must be used when wrapping everything up. You're no mechanic, just a schmuck with tools and a camera.
Pro tip.. Cut the end off of the post on the panel that the top regulator bolt goes through.. That way you can bolt the regulator on the side AND the top BEFORE the panel goes back on.. The bottom regulator bolt hole will align naturally.. Save at least 10-15 minutes fighting to align that top hole and start the bolt..

Great video helped my dad, his coworker and I get it on my car at the shop. We were stomped with the little extra part coming of the end off the track until we saw how you did it. Thanks for the video!
I have a 2007 Hyundai Elantra and on July 28th, 2024 my passenger front window is broken. I opened it up 4 to 5 inches, but then It would not roll back up. There was some noise when it happened. The noise was like broken parts that broke off and dropped to the inside. I'm trying to repair it myself, but I don't have your expertise. I'm in California. I also don't have a torque T-30 to remove some of the locking mechanisms on the door jamb... Damn, this looks do-able, but I'm having problems... Thanks for the video....
I unspooled accidentally the cable while trying to plug the regulator into the motor... Lost 4 hours trying to put it back and I had to remove one of the 2 springs to finally be able to do so.
Something super weird happens now, when the door is opened I can open the window but not close it. When the door is closed everything works fine... Unpluging the left most plug allows me to close the window though but as soon as I plug it back I can't anymore. How is this even possible?! Did I break or damage some sensor? Where should I look? Even if this isn't that much of an issue this is a bit annoying...
When you removed the all the wiring and the you ch see inside of door can I just put it up by hand and then put buck to the to mechanic..... just want to get it up
