I miss those times. Gone forever never to return. I really pity kids today. They have no idea what it felt like. The music was fresh, happy, and original. I miss it so.
this song is for Jac Colon, a Seventh Day Adventist evangelist who was a pilot of a big bomber circling over Hanoi, i think, ready to drop The BIG ONE. This song is for me, because i am a piper, and i love the tunes of glory, especially "all the blue bonnets are over the border" as played in this song.
Listen again, its about the chaplain (religion), This song blew me away as an 8th grader, son of a Marine Lt. colonel living in Pearl city Hawaii in 1969. When will we ever learn.
Saddest thing is that there is no, and I mean NO live performance recorded of The Seeds. No audio or video. There's a snippet of the beginning of the Hollywood Bowl show and that's all. Bummer.
The REAL Guess Who, no doubt. Unmistakable sound and phenomenal lyrics - "Can I take your picture in the park with silk and satin on". Long live Burton and Randy.
70 yr old MG fan. My older had several albums that I had to ask permission to play unless she was out partying w her friends. I only found out about 4 years ago that I was Racist. I was shocked! but that's what they told me. Desmond Decker. Israeltes.
These soldiers NEVER get enough credit for what they have been through. I was 3 years old at this time. My mother is from Bamberg Germany and became a U.S. citizen. She told us stories about WW2 and how her family lost everything during that war. Even their German Shepherd dog. There is more suffering I'd rather not mention. Most don't have a clue how devastating war is. And it hits the heart to see how young these soldiers were. ❤️
What a wonderful song by Rod with such empathy. It reminded me of a gay man so senselessly murdered near Putney Common in the late sixties by a gang of fools who thought 'queer bashing' would be 'fun.' So brave of them. And the newspapers back then were just as guilty as those thugs, as they vilified and disparaged gay people.
Oh my goodness... I remember this song out of the corner of my mind but did not know the lyrics... How much and how little things have changed? We need songs like this today ❤
I Dedicate this song to Mr.Erza "Buddy "Warren from Joplin Mo.I worked for him back in the 80's, He was a Master Engineer At Everything that came before him, He run a white Vega funny car called The Streaker and also a SEMA chassie builder for Top Fuel and Anything else he wanted.
