I Love Blair..I love Leighton.. it's epic... But anyone who has had a toxic sister of friend could not.. I mean I love the character and Leighton.. but I often see myself in these situations being a minion.. being talked down.. and dismissed.. Blair is awesome to watch..

Elvis didn’t beg her to stay . She cheated on him with Mike Stone . He was pretty upset about it . But not to this extent . I just don’t like seeing young people deceived about what really happened. This is a very biased and one sided viewpoint given to this movie’s producer.
By Priscilla's biography which she told in the movie back in the 80s called Elvis and Me.. She said she went to see Elvis backstage before he went onto stage to commence his concert. She told him that she is leaving him. And he was shocked. He had to pshyc himself up didn't He audience and that she found a good time to break this to him.

If you read her biography it didn’t happen this way. Sadly he got intimately physical with her, when he thought she was leaving him for another man, and then it ended. This is a ‘modern take’ and its strange that Priscilla didn’t make this film align with what was in her biography. Maybe too damaging but he was human, and made mistakes, she didn’t just walk out the door.
I don’t really like how this film tried to paint Pricilla as the good person in this argument as she was also cheating on Elvis at the time. Actually we don’t even know who started cheating first. Pricilla apparently started earlier on after hearing rumors that Elvis was hooking up with the girls he met on his tours but there wasn’t any proof at the time that he was. I think there are faults on both sides but I feel like since Pricilla is the one basically running how Elvis is portrayed in this film she gets a free pass on the way she is shown.
The fact that austin worked two years filming this movie and he didn’t get his Oscar for his performance/ although Brandon won for his performance for the whale . But I honestly think austin deserves the award. He worked so hard for this movie
It's a good scene, but people need to understand that this is not what happened in reality, not even in the slightest. It's just a director imagined vision of their breakup. Whatever it was in real life, no one will know, except for Priscilla (who could not even remember anymore, because of the trauma and suppressed memories and feelings).
We don’t know in real life if Elvis had this reaction I mean priscilla lives in a fairytale world and is able to say whatever’s going to make her look good I mean after all her ex husband isn’t here to defend himself. Linda Thompson spent 4 years with Elvis and she said Elvis’s ego was hurt more than anything about the divorce. Priscilla comes to Elvis and said she wants a divorce because she wants to find herself and she had been dating Mike stone for the last 2 years of the marriage that’s the part that hurt Elvis and reality is Linda was with Elvis right after the divorce and yes he was deep into prescription pills she saved his life 10-12 times and stayed with Elvis at every hospital stay and she said priscilla not one time called or came to visit him at the hospital. Mike stone later wrote a book called how I stoled Elvis Presleys wife. During the divorce priscilla got a lot but Elvis said just don’t ever use the Presley name well when Elvis’s dad died priscilla took it back and has managed to live a lavish lifestyle. Rip Lisa marie
The leaving scene is so deceptive. In reality, she was very happy that day. She left Elvis and went right to Mike Stone who had been her lover for many months. Later, she was quoted as saying, "At last I'm free to do all the things I always wanted to do!" Show business, in my opinion, that ambition that she hid from Elvis when she married him.
@@joewhitehead3 Yes. When she married Elvis, she hid her showbusiness ambitions from him because she knew he would never marry her otherwise. She stayed married to him just long enough to get that "movie star' divorce settlement (five years in California at that time), left him, got her money,, and got herself a show business agent. Also she has said that he made her wear her hair the way he wanted, dress the way he wanted, etc. Never mentions that as soon as she got him married with a baby, she stopped doing that. So she presented herself as happy with this until she got him married then quit after they were married. She presented herself as one thing, when, in fact, she was another.
I wish my musician boyfriend (boyfriend, not husband, not even fiancé of almost exactly 9.5 years could show any emotion besides anger, rage, disappointment, I would do anything for him to demonstrate a mere fraction of this vulnerability: With or without any of his particular talents (no, he’s no Elvis: but who is?) I fell in love with the man, not the rockstar. (and ‘mine’ is sober: though; 0% no judgement, it happens more often than I like to believe. Fame or not. Well my bf is sober except for some alcohol which doesn’t help the anger: and God Bless her, Priscilla, for I do personally take issue with the ‘other women’ he so poorly “hides.” Especially given he no longer performs & won’t move into our new house & prefers to stunt all future plans we made by staying living at home with his father. It’s unfortunate: as I’m not trying to change anyone. We were the happiest couple I ever even knew of. Once. (& he is knocking on 45) I’m much younger as well: but feel my best years are essentially behind me. I wish our loved ones could see their destructive actions aren’t worth what short time we have here on earth. And take advantage of every waking second, not fall so deeply into sin. We all have our paths: I praise Priscilla’s strength; in all regards. & I do not judge or blame Elvis. He was dealing with his own demons: we all are. I, in this comment, am using him merely as a vehicle of comparison (a far reach, albeit, it’s THE “King” but the lifestyle & genre) all given this very unusual scenario I’ve found my….life in. 🙏 RIP Elvis & Priscilla. ❤❤
THEY WORKED THINGS OUT! LISA MARIE DIDNT EVEN KNOW HER PARENTS WERE DIVORCED! IN FACT ELVIS FILED FIRST. HE DID IT TO PROTECT PRISCILLA AND LISA MARIE. WHEN THEY WENT TO COURT THEY HELD HANDS AND THE JUDGE THOUGHT HE WAS PERFORMING A MARRIAGE INSTEAD OF A DIVORCE. SHE GOT A FUR COAT AND A CAR AND SHE BOUGHT HIM A ROLLS ROYLCE.
This is the proof the relationship was already cold and they were already apart. They could stay friends and take care of their daughter. Elvis was sorry for the broken family but I think the love was already gone..and they both found others and moved on
If Elvis was taking so many drugs he wouldn't be sneaking girls into the side door, not to have sex with them at least. Priscilla did say in her book, Elvis and Me, she had no evidence Elvis was having affairs while they were married although she suspected he did. Sounds like paranoia to me!
