From what I've seen and heard of your voice I know that you have studied intricately the changes and shifts in the original artists voices and you've done an incredible job matching them! I absolutely love the power and range of your voice! A tiny piece of advice from a former lead singer: don't be afraid to adapt the songs you sing and style some of them in your own way while also keeping to the original tunes. That's what Lainey Gardner did and Nick Jonas discovered her and she's touring with him all over the world with him now. You have that same potential because of the power, fierceness, and yet the beautiful range in your voice.❤
Thanks so much for the sub and the compliment! I appreciate it! I've been singing professionally for ten years and I personally try to balance it out with interpretations. There's certain songs, in particular, where you can't take a lot of liberties on them because it would be an injustice to do so, such as this song; then there's other ones where you can, and I'll typically add something if I feel it'll add another dimension to the song or make it better. And then, of course, there's songs where I like how the artist originally sung them and I won't change it because I like the original so much, so it's all a balancing act.
Great job, Randy. Pat Benatar is one of my favorite female rockers. Her vocal range is incredible, and she has so much grit & attitude, but she can also pull off the more clean & clear vocals such as in "We Belong." Loved how you were jamming out to this song, too.❤😊
