What if the baby chick is just lonely, since they're sociable animals there's a risk for them of being alone. If I can't buy another baby quail yet, what must I do? Should I keep it longer as a mother?
Roosters make certain distinguishable louder than usual clucks. They also make a certain wining noise, when a predator is nearby. Those are the calls, or should I say alerts, that they make to their flocks.
my cat loves this video. he came from the country side in mississippi i saved of starvasion lol. he had a bump on his touge and couldnt chew food. i thought he was sick but it was a bump on the tounge. never expect the reason why a cat isnt eatting is only because they are sick!!! i learned that day !!! it took him 3 months of me crushing dry food into water for him to drink to save him. he would just meow if i handed him dry food or wet food solieds. thats when i knew somthing wasnt right. they arnt meowing cause they dont like it!!!!!! they arnt really picky!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
QUESTION, I received my 6 yesterday. Today I'm fighting to keep them alive. I've purchased everything as the people I purchased from. Lights, foods water. I do not like to see any animals harmed. What r some tells to know if they are too young or sick? I have a great deal of learning and need to learn faster. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated
@@pamelagarden8504 1 week old, I purchased 6 in 20 hours 5 died. Heat at 80 to 85 degrees same food and water and pellets as person i purchased from. I went to another seller and bought 2 more to keep the last 1 with others. I'm not sure if sick but 5 in 20 hours made me question everything. These are my first. Its my fault but I don't know what I did so I can prevent it from happening again. Now I have 3 altogether but I got 2 new ones at 2 weeks old to help the 1 week old .
It’s not your fault, you are newbie to raising quails. You will learn as you go.. Make sure that you are feeding them with 19% or higher protein fresh medicated starter crumbles. They need fine crumbles to swallow it easily, you can grind them. At 2 weeks old temperature is ok at 80-85. Quails are very sensitive to odors and chemicals in the air, so keeping them in area with fresh good quality air is a must. Is your brooder predator proof?
Heh heh... Well, I carry a razor-sharp tantalum-tipped molybdenum-steel axe when I'm near the chicken-coop. Roosters usually never attack me. Or they end up headless in the soup-pot, with some onions and pinoqachole oil for tenderizing. Yum!
