With 20 years behind the bar (and still counting), I wanted to share what I've learned and hopefully inspire you to make even better cocktails at home, or at the bar you work at! I like to cover a little bit of history and/or background of the drinks I make, and I also share hacks to make your life hopefully a bit easier when mixing things up. Feel free to reach out to me with any questions you might have! I'll see you soon my friends!
In the long run, just remember to be nice. Even when people are acting strange and maybe not on their best behavior. It's not because of you, it's something they're going through. Be kind and do your best, keep learning and help your coworkers- and you'll be a great bartender!
All bourbon can be whiskey!! BUT NOT ALL WHISKEY CAN BE BOURBON RIGHT?! Bourbon is a minimum of 51% ? American corn? I think it is! I forgot sometimes I’m really new to the bourbon 🥃 world so please forgive any mistakes I make I’m learning a lot from you guys and the nice people in the comments section ! Ps good video explaining ❤🎉🎉
@@WhiskeySugarBitters thanks for the response. I think its the brand I'm using. I will spend a bit more and upgrade. A little does go a long way with liquors
I don't have any orange liqueur but I do have a Tanqueray Sevilla Orange gin. Can I just ditch the liqueur in this case or would you modify the amount of vermouth, campari and gin?
Hmm...If you don't have the orange liqueur it will be kinda close to a Negroni. The Sevilla Orange is slightly sweeter than a regular gin, but not as sweet as it would be with the orange liqueur, so perhaps add a 1/4 oz of simple syrup? That will balance the sweetness a little bit and hopefully pull out more orange notes from the gin. Either way, I highly recommend investing in an orange liqueur. It's used in SO many cocktails :) Try Combier, Pierre Ferrand, or Cointreau!
Oh my! I would definitely start with the 1st cocktail built with Miso/Arugula/Lime, Gin and Italicus. 2nd choice is the Tequila and Mezcal cocktail and for the Gran Finale the bourbon variation of an Old Fashioned. I am sure the 3 are great choices. Thank you for sharing buddy! Keep crushing it. 💥🪄🔥❤️
Thank you for the Monte Carlo in Asheville last month! You made a suggestion to an old fashioned order we made and I’m so happy you did. I’ve been making them at home in Alaska!
