I’ve had my 3rd gen for almost a year now after my Audi was totaled. Now granted I am a mechanic and I do my own work and have replaced a lot of parts on mine. Yes people will say “ oh there’s so much stuff to fix.” Well yeah….they are 20 years old. But anything that needs to be fixed on them is cheaper to get done than on modern cars. Parts are cheaper and labor is less because they are easier to work on. I must say I wish I was as lucky as you with my EVAP issue. Mine turned out to be a cracked gas tank fill check valve and a bad gasket that wouldn’t seal. So I had to drop the tank to replace it and the seal. But if your looking for ways to maintain that vehicle yourself…Timmy the tool man has some great videos on his channel from simple maintenance, all they up to replacing big parts including suspension and such, or even upgrading. I’ve done many upgrades that has been shown on his channel so if you get a chance check it out.
I bought a 3rd gen 2 years ago, I've had to replace more things than I could count. all the suspension was swapped and all ball joints, spindle was bent, driveshaft was shot, power steering shot, all hoses shot, wheel bearing shot, it still shakes at 65mph, front diff teeth dipped, rear axle leaking, lower and upper control arms shot, cat needed to be replaced, valve cover seals shot. Do not believe in the stories people about how this car is unbreakable that is not a reality. moving parts break
Most real comment I’ve ever seen! Definitely a lot can go wrong with this car and that’s wild that’s all happened in two years sounds like you’ve almost built a whole new car!
Damn that’s too bad, I had a 97, drive it about 100k miles before I got into an accident, I hardly replaced anything and it drove like a champ. Did Timing belt and control arms I did have replaced. That was it, for the most part it was pretty low maintenance for me.
Good question yeah i had been looking for one for a while and finally got my hands on it but they are very rare and i had to pay a bit over sticker for it!
Hey I am from Winnipeg am going to buy this and dealership name is autolist of Canada this dealership same year 2007 NISSAN X-TERRA 4X4 S | the price $12,484 Canadian dollars sir please let me know what should do I buy this vehicle or take more time and look around with cheaper in others city
Honestly at least for the US that is pretty pricy so personally i would keep looking but it is a very good car and depending on the mileage of that particular vehicle it could last you a very long time so it might not be a horrible decision! So if you really like it and it has low mileage it is a really great car and i would maybe at least take it for a test drive and see how you feel!
If your previous daily driver is a Lamborghini Aventador or a Hellcat then yeah but most people go from Toyota Corollas or Honda Civics to a car like this and compared to those this car sounds amazing
I own the same exact car. 2022, with the red interior, the atomic silver exterior. It's my daily driver, and I absolutely love it. I also get a lot of compliments from people.
Good unbiased review. Love everything except the driving too low. I hate drivers suddenly slowing down and going sideways when they encounter a bump or something. So for this reason, I will pass and go ES for the oldies 😄
Thank you for the feedback 🙏 and yup always so inconvenient for the driver and the other people on the road haha so yeah ES is definitely better for a lot of people!
I bought a 2024 V6 XSE 6 months ago. I absolutely love it. I've not had any issues with the build quality you mentioned, at least so far. I actually prefer how quiet the V6 is while driving. I have the white wind-chill pearl with red leather interior. This is my 5th Camry and 4th 6 cylinder one.
Couple things that may help with daily drivability: Lower ball joints Tundra Brake Upgrade Honda windshield nozzle mod Apple Carplay Headunit Headlight projector retrofit Andys Mod 2 Trac off button I have a couple vids on my channel when i had a 2001 3rd gen as well.
I'd like it to be Quieter, just be buying it for the style, reliablity, v 6. ***One Big Concern I have is how Low to the ground frame is....see people All the time hitting their front part of car just carefully trying to pull into grocery store....if wasnt for that would want to get a new camery. Also if ever move back to MI concerned about low to ground for snow etc. .... Any thoughts experiences with it being so Low?
Yeah i definitely have to slow down at any bump or dip and driving in the snow with it so slow is sketchy because it makes a lot of noise when the snow hits the front but luckily i haven’t gotten any damage to my car from snow!
@@lifeofbengyn oh ok yeah yours is just a baby in the 4runner world lol and you probably take great care of it and yeah the flatness probably helps too i hope you keep getting really good mpg!
@santipedros6908 Yep, still doing good. Bought it from the original owner at 302k. Completely rust free. Only unexpected things I've done to it is replaced the original radiator, new battery, and front u-joint. Did brakes all around, tires, and rear shocks when I first got it. Make sure to ask about the timing belt and water pump. Those are recommended to be replaced every 100k, and if you're getting a shop to do the work it may run you $1,000 or more.
I bought my 04’ 2.5 liter E85 Z4 with 70k miles on it. I now have 107k miles on it in just 4 years of ownership. It is very reliable and as long as you address the “typical” BMW issues, it is a great car.
Yeah it didn’t come with this car, I should’ve mentioned it in this video that’s my bad for not doing so but thank you for the comment to help other people out!
I have a 2004 Z4 3.0i with almost 61,000 miles, ordered it new (original owner). It is always garage kept and is in excellnt condition. Love this car, but I'm looking to sell. I just don't drive it that much plus I'm getting older. Nice video
You must have a F Sport Design, Ventilated seats weren't available on those models, only the F Sports offered Heated and Ventilated Seats, the Design Models only offered Heated Seats.
I bought a 2017 obsidian black 2wd IS350 F-Sport in 22 with 55k miles, it came with Avid AV 2.0s and BC Racing coilovers which I didn't discover were on it till about a month later lol. As I was leaving the Toyota dealership I bought it from one of the service techs walked up to me and told me he was the previous owner and hated to sell it but needed a truck. After talking about the car for a bit I knew I made a good choice after a 3 hour journey to pickup the car just based off of pictures and telephone calls with the sales guy. Anyway I absolutely love the car, it rides on rails in the corners and stops on a dime. I come from a time where you had to actually roll up the windows so I actually like the old analog-ish interior. The Mark Levitson stereo is great once you tune the eq (turn the midrange down past half and the treble and bass up to taste on each music source). While not the quickest car on the block it can still elicit smiles in sport mode with manual gear changes. I have no problems getting in an out of the car except after a very hard workout. Yeah it can get cramped on long drives and the way my coilovers are set along with the wheels and tires the ride can beat you up at times. I have my complaints but they don't stop me from enjoying a well put together reliable vehicle. My next sedan will probably be a Blackwing but yes I would certainly buy a new IS especially the 500.
