I’ll take “BS I’m never gonna install” for 1000 Alex AI = “ALLOWED INTRUSION” Just a stupid af, useless way to get people to voluntarily give up MORE privacy. After all, AI gotta scan everything u have, to work (Nice AI simp-nonsense channel)
i was hoping they would stick to their bad good bad good release plan, 11 was horseshite, 12 looks even worse time to goto linux mint, especially with their 3 second screenshot spyware
AI photo analysis would have to be done server-side. This means total invigilation of what you do and have od your (supposedly "personal") computer. People are expected to willfully sell their privacy for a bunch of fun features? ;) It's like in the history: colonizers bought valuable things (including land) from the native people for a bunch of colorful glass beads. ;)
IF i would want an AI on my computer, i want it to be alive and actually useful, than what fake AI nonsense that companies throw out. What the companies want is people's data, so an AI is perfect for silently downloading all that data so they could sell it to third-party companies or whatever. Also i want my operating system to require less space on my 100gb SSD boot drive, with less apps that take up resources and i only want more performance for gaming. I started getting news that windows 10 will end it's support next year, so im really apprehensive on upgrading. Can't we get an operating system that is no-nonsense and only fit for gaming? Linux or Mac are worse options when it comes to gaming.
How ANYONE with even half a brains worth of common sense, would EVER TRUST MS, with an A.I built in to an OS on the base level, is beyond me, never, not ever... A.I is of use, and of interest, but nope, not built in like they are thinking... If you thought 10 or 11 were wildly intrusive and privacy breaching, you're talking magnitudes of order higher levels of breach right there, before you even start. yeah, they can keep this garbage
Also the system may be able to detect objects and text in images (video, audio, txt files) so Microsoft can extract that content and spy on you even better👏 And you are to allowed to pay for this in cost of required hardware and software licences - what a beautiful future
Why should an OS work as a photo editor software?! There are other dedicted softwares for this! THis is insane! The HW requirement are getting out of hand! GOD save us from W12!
As a Linux user without a Windows dual boot, I just don't see why I would need a Windows machine... The only machine I have left still running Windows is a Toshiba Satellite Pro from 2007 running modified (debloated and Se7enized) Windows 8.1, which I use exclusively for modding old LG phones and running MCC Tool Chest (I like old Minecraft leave me alone)... Might I ask why you dual boot Windows? I haven't seen a need for anything apart from either very niche things that need direct hardware access, or kernel level DRM/anticheats (read: malicious rootkits)...
Need an operating system to run my apps and use the hardware i paid for fully not a freaking website posting as an operating system.. thank god i ditched windows when i did.
