I live quite near the Roman Road so recently went to the Young Prince pub. Amazing place, full of old London memorabilia. And lots of pictures of their successful sports teams of the past. Couldn’t see one with Jamie Sykes, but it might have been behind trophies, can’t believe there wouldn’t be one of him.
Shame that tv networks do not do this every year from different areas I cannot stand top flight football today, i would love to see more of this non league stuff. The football is not premier league level, but its grass roots level, and i would think many would enjoy such shows, showing what real grass roots football is like I think loads really cannot stand the champagne charlies that top players have become, and i cannot stand them. The football quality in this series was watchable, and actually was not as bad as you would think.
Hearing this theme tune I can smell the Sunday roast cooking Great times My favourite Italian side Sampdoria Fallen of a cliff now Shame It's the erg shirt with Lombardo on the back .
Yh totally agree with u fella I use to watch Joe Gallagher at blues and ended up working next to me at land-rover proper professional un like players of today
Don't think I was at this one, but one sticks in my mind when I stood in the holte end and John Connoly (no teeth lol ) scored, what a day that was lol KRO 🤣
Commentator speaks of Birmingham conceding 3 goals the day before, Boxing Day 1969. That was at home v Blackpool (2-3) the very first time I attended a Blues match. I was 8 years old and fell in love with Birmingham city that day. I still go and see them regularly 54 years later. Keep right on.
I followed Fiorentina back in the day just because of their Nintendo sponsor and still follow them today, really miss the Sunday afternoons before greedy yank company's took all the ef in sports for themselves. Phuk the US!
I was on the Kop for that game. You could tell from the reaction of the Liverpool players that our fourth was legitimate. I think they went straight down to the other end to score their fourth.
This is pure gold. I played in the southern amateur league, Saturday 3pm kick off, for 10 years. It was often great fun, but I can’t believe I spent every Saturday (until midnight) doing this. No wonder the Mrs left me
