I got a trance custom off a guy on marketplace, he bought the XL frame and then built the bike out as he wanted. I'm super happy with the bike. really fantastic. Changing the seat/bar height to make the bars more inline with the sear or slightly lower will make it easier to keep the front down btw, but there's a limit to what you can do there before comfort becomes an issue.
34 days ago I got sideswiped by an SUV. Today I took my first ride. It was just about a mile around the neighborhood just to see how it felt. I talked to a guy on Reddit who was still sleeping upright after 10 weeks, so I guess I got lucky.
Hey mate, that bike would be perfect. But before you go, see if you can get an update of the current conditions. I hear they have got a heap of trails closed for logging at the moment.
I did the first part of Elevation in Jan, how does that part stack up to the rest of it? Curtains a fun one I haven't done in ages, might be time to give it another go
@@BikingCarFanatic yeah that is how I generally found those events as well. Get a solid run in on each trail and then focus on one where more time can be made up.
It always sucks to have an injury - what's the worst is not the pain (with a fracture, even without painkillers, it passes after about 48h), but the FOMO... when the weather is right and you mates go riding and you have to stay home... I know it all too well with both my old and recent injuries (broken figer at workbin November). I went to this rebuilt Lyre Lyre today and rode it for the first time - that invusible shark fin following this jump is really creapy - the gap is way too small and in your video it looks like you went for it with a tonne of speed... Count down to your first, post-recovey ride and don't take it too easy! 😉
Agree mate, worst is not being able to do anything, on and off the bikes :(. It was that sharkfin that got me, need to have a good look at it once I'm better to try and work out how I got it so wrong!
5 days ago ! Lol. I broke a rib at Mt Buller 5 days ago !!! Maybe a good reminder for everyone to slow down and take care after being off the trails over winter and all the wet weather we've had recently 🙂
@@BikingCarFanatic if I had of stacked in some off the gnarlier parts I'd ridden that day I'd be in big trouble. Lucky I fell off and just rolled down the inside of a burm.
What a way to start the year! It's so good to have Lyre Lyre up and running again, but sucks you're out of action. Hope you heal quick and can get back out on the trails soon 👊
I did it 2 days ago on my hardtail and almost ate dirt a few times in the rock garden sections.. beautiful track so different now and can't wait to ride it on my down hill bike..
