I'm sure the wind was blowing exactly horizontally during that. Proper Irish weather conditions for an outdoor gig. Bands need to be good enough to play in that. The Strokes nailed it. Amazing gig.
This is really one of the best set lists they could ever do! I would have paid so much to see them at their peak like this. Also, Reading crowds are fucking awesome at how involved they get.
Interesting performance. The venue was a little smaller than I’m used to seeing to guys perform at. And Julian’s voice wasn’t in a good shape (or he was drunk; and that’s surprising: 2011 Julian sang great imo
fucking love these dudes. i feel julian is neurotic to a degree. it comes out in the crooning. definitely their best performance besides lolla brazil imho
