Yes, but sometimes you need reconfigure the outriggers so that the front ones hit first and take the pressure off the jack, or do it manually every time.
I'm a homeowner in Jupiter FL and rented a 3632T yesterday and brought it home. Unfortunately I'm getting the blinking light at the bottom left of panel "fully lower platform into the stowed position for outrigger when flashing", and now I'm stuck as rental place is closed today / tomorrow. boom can go up and and out and left and right, but won't go down. It makes a start sound like it wants to move, but then light warning sound comes on. I tried turning off/on as well as retracting and extending outriggers, but still have the same issue. Fortunately learned how to manually lower the boom, but no way I can do this when I'm up high in the bucket. I checked to solenoid switches where the boom rests on frame and they seem OK, but not sure what else to check. Thanks if you have a suggestion, but I'm guessing it's a trip back to rental on Monday.
Most of the time one of the switches on the outriggers, or lower boom cradle isn't registering. They often get sand in them or just wear out. This will cause them to intermittently fail. Only other issue I have had in this area is one of the wires could be rubbing on the frame and shorting out or the connection plug could be loose on any one of them.
Thanks, but we try to stay in the pace Milton area mostly. That way we have a fast turnaround time and can take care of more of our neighbors in the community.
Just wondering if you had any idea what the shear bar is supposed look like when new I can’t find a picture of one that matches mine online it’s got the two hills on it but the only ones I can find are mostly flat any information would greatly appreciated
Here's a link to a site that carried "anvils" (shear bars) for most chippers. Your dealer should be able to print you an image of yours if you take the last 5 of your serial number. Most of them are flat with a 30 degree angle on all 4 sides like the one on this site. Hope that helps: www.baileysonline.com/knife-source-17-1-4-x-3-1-2-x-1-bed-knife-anvil-for-vermeer-replaces-153345001.html
Its a common fault on these machines. Usually if you extend one foot a little and then go back to auto level it will engage. Or turn the key off and on.
It's from towing it and going fast over bumps in the road. Watch your review mirror. The stress from leveling it is so much less than watching the thing try to pop off the ball and bang all around.
Don't think its from putting down the rear legs down first...Watch in your review mirror when you are towing and go over a bump or dip in the road...A lot more forces from towing than leveling.
GREAT video! I have my own Genie Z60/34 I use for a variety of reasons but can't get it in tight spots or haul it easily. Looking at something similar to this and your upgrades are just what I would do. 'Liked' the video.
Don't change the bolts each time, its a total scam from Vermeer, i have a chipper too .then onlt time tou reallt need to changd the bolts is when they start to stretch, usually about 6 uses. New bolts every time is a waste of money.
Totally understand, but we try to stay with manufacturer recommendations for video purposes. Alot of guys push it too far and regret it with they snap a bolt. $40 buys a lot of peace of mind.
Smooth ground no problem up to 5% incline. Soft yards can be an issue. If we have a long haul, hills, pot holes or wet conditions we just pull it with our loader. Excessive driving will drain a 12 hour battery in 4. All that said it is great from tree to tree on a hard surface for residential work. Ill never own another without it!
No issues for us, its been a good machine. My understanding is the bandit is a superior machine. I have a friend with one. I haven't demoed one yet. Demo if you can before buying. We are upgrading to an 1800 soon. Much more capacity for logs!
Have not run into that one yet. May just be burnt out. You should join our Avant group page on Facebook: Avant Loader Owners of North America! There about 2000 guy all over who own them who could probably answer that question.
May be hard to tell from the video but that tree was very unstable. I didn't want to be near it any longer than I had to. The added benefit to leaving the branches on is if the tree hit or brush up against anything those branches cause less damage than logs do. Plus we were going to rig the remainder down this way anyhow. Thanks for watching.
Alta Equipment is a certified dealer. Or just check Avant website. Most any equipment repair shop should be able to handle it since it’s just a Kabota engine. What model do you have and where are you located?
