Like to buy one ,but only available on amazon and they wont send to my country ,none on EBAY ,annoying ,or seemingly anywhere else .Cheap knives are good [provided they are a basic good design ] you can use and abuse them and not a big deal if the break, get lost or pinched
Just above the guard, compared to the Ka-Bar which is about half inch into the handle. I just don't get as good a feel with these leather stacked handles, and wouldn't risk throwing one.
I have a couple Flissa knives. A D-2 folder and the sawback, survival Bowie and they've been good beaters! And I mean beater, screw driver, thick oak weed cutter among other things. Easy to sharpen then beat on em some more. Not bad! I buy these knives cause I don't like abusing my more costly ones so, they really do serve their purpose. Great video btw!!!
I've got 2 of them. I got the G-10 XL and the premium. The G-10 is a little slimmer and lighter. The premium is just too pretty to use lol! I keep it in the box and carry the G-10 quite easily. I don't smoke anymore and I have more free space in my pockets. The wave works great even in gym shorts. I've been wanting to try the voyager XL in clip point. It's quite possible I'm addicted to these giant folders I'll admit.
Great vid! Glad to see someone highlighting these classics...I love the Voyager line...I have every current model. The xl drop point has been my historical favorite, but the xl tanto sure is a force to be reckoned with....esp with the serrations, and man, are those Vaqueros growing on me! 😊 I haven't been into knives very long...2 years, in fact, but I'm a huge Cold Steel fan...I just keep trying out new ones... I haven't counted lately, but a few months back, I was already well north of a hundred of them. I'll let you know if I start to get disappointed with them...meanwhile, keep making great content!😊
I like the style, but it's not sold in my area, so it's safe from me, for now. lol I did get a NedFoss Brave though, in all black, very nice for the price. :)
Nice a real beautiful sword perfect colors . I always wanted a world war 2 Japanese sword. My grandfather brought two back from the war only to loose them when he moved sad.
Been looking a few years for a TOPS, " Desert Nomad ", but never found one. Wondering if you have any experience of them as I never learned the specs. Settled for the Tops , Missle Strike, instead. Thx for the video!
As long as you take care of that leather that type of snap works for a really long time when I was a kid I had an old hunting puma had the exact same type of securing but a bit further down the blade since the handle was shorter
I had a Western Bowie made in Longmont Colorado. I regret selling it but needed money being between jobs. I'll be ordering the Bear and Son soon to give me similar feeling to the Western
Good video about the Roach Belly fixed blade knife, about $23 plus tax and shipping. Best as a fish cleaning knife. I like your showing that it has self defense application. Great channel, liked and subscribed
I like this company they seem to have a pretty good quality control I was curious do you have issues with your saya’s after sitting a while not being as tight I have had some problems with this lately. Any idea how to prevent this.
Saya will react to temperature and humidity. I have had them get really tight and stick on swords I haven't picked up for several weeks, probably humidity causing them to swell. Mostly they get looser on me over time due to use wear.
Looks like a Buck mated with a Kabar... Its NOT what comes to mind when someone says "12 inch bowie" but its a good lookin knife! Its probably a great knife to give a kid that needs a first knife to learn with.
@@michaelrizzo5523 it's beefier than a kabar? ..if it were D2 I'd jump on it. I have their D2 camp knife, the drop point one with the leather sheath and I love it. It has a nice big utilitarian grip and the D2 steel is excellent!
@@jimbusmaximus4624 I'm surprised they didn't go with D2 on this one. The Ka-Bar is about half an inch shorter and half an ounce lighter, with a keener edge geometry. I think the bigger Ka-Bar fuller and proper back edge grind on the clip point account for the weight difference. The Ka-Bar grip is a bit slimmer in my hand and has better purchase because of the grooves.
Hey Michael - in the UK we are seeing banning of knives coming in .. starting with so-called Zombie blades. So we knife people love your knife reviews ! Just keep doing what you’re doing ❤
You can make your own snaggletooth for very little money. Buy electric ring terminals. Unscrew the thumb stud and screw it back in through the ring of the electric ring terminal with the shaft of the terminal pointed towards the tip of the blade. Paint it black for esthetics. If you buy good quality terminals, it should last. Make sure to screw thebthumb stud back very securely and add locktite. You will need the correct size, but they are so cheap, just buy a bunch of sizes.
I finally got my T-Rexx from Valhalla off of Amazon, and I'm glad I bought two instead of my fourth or fifth Buck 110 folder. Two of THESE for the price of ONE Buck 110? A MUCH better DEAL.
There's one Called....NEDFOSS ....kinda like a kabar blade Nice handle...G2 steel S2403 if you can try that one... I been following you for a long time ...enjoy
I must say that I would never baton with a Canadian Belt Knife. The neck between the handle and blade, even with the original Grohmann's, is too thin. Otherwise, I think you called the issue with the Cold Steel. It is WAY too thin. Great review and thanks. I would recommend it for processing meat and veggies. That is what I use mine for and it does very well for the price.
@@michaelrizzo5523 Yeah the blades are still way to short for me and the system i use. But it's good to know that the hanwei sword is a better sword incase i have someone here at the school who is shorter and wanting a sword that may be of perfect length for them and is affordable. Armourclass seems like the way to go for me as they will make blades of varying lengths.
I have a 1917. I like it very much. Yup I blooded it this evening, finger lightly tapped edge,it did it's job very very well. I'm not a connisuer of anything I buy only what I use. Fit finish of knife suits my attitude to the hilt. I'll get another when I sneak it past my female.
I have had one of these for a few years and it is my favorite inexpensive cheap knife. Been watching your channel from the beggining and I respect what you do,thank you sir. But 60 hrc? I can't at the moment disprove that statement And honestly I would be happy if it were true. I gotta say though,I dunno
It works well as a bird knife. (Pheasant, duck, grouse) It will also work for fish although it is a little small for larger fish. I have also used it on Pronghorn and deer. I have given away several of these along with a bunch of Canadian Belt knives as gifts. Great knife for the price.
I use lots of “camp knives” for whacking shrub, game meat chopping/skinning. But this caught my attention cause it looks the closest (on the market) to Arthur Morgan’s knife in Red Dead Redemption 2.
I've had one for years that i use for throwing. The scales broke quickly, and the tip has worn back, but it still solid and sharpens razor sharp. I bought a second one a few years ago and left the new one mostly alone because of the original rocking on with a tape wrappedhandle.
