Welcome! We’re a family who loves board games and are passionate about sharing our favorite pastime with others. Through the years we’ve experienced the way that board games not only bring people together, but allow us to have fun in the process! It’s our hope that you will allow these amazing games to become a part of your everyday life.
I heartily applaud the unique theme! Also, I have been wanting a pirate game for a while now that reflects the raucous spirit, the ships, the parrots, etc, but doesn't have take-that in it. Color me intrigued.
@@matheusfonseca2826 100% The guy who created it talked about how he was inspired by South American sports culture and wanted to create something for the table.
I favorited this game when KS suggested it (but I didn’t have time to look at it) during my vacation in Edinburgh a couple weeks ago. As of this morning, I can only assume they recommended it because it was developed in Edinburgh, but your explanation just sold me and I backed it just in time! It looks so beautifully unsettling! I’m also looking up Dredge since I saw it mentioned as a comparison.
what i mean is that, are you allowed to look through every cards that were discarded in the cauldron or like your only allowed to pick the latest 2 or 3 cards that were discarded, the rulebook and what you said wasn't thorough.b
Got it. Yes, you can look through the cards in your cauldron. This is unlike Little Red, where it's only the top card shown that is used. These videos were just quick overviews and definitely didn't cover everything in depth.
Great game guys! Always appreciate a good Friday Night Fight 😎😎 Its unfortunate because Erin did gain an action at the end but didn't realize she only needs 1 raptor adjacent to trigger the effect. she could of attacked again and maybe defeated the last sister 😭😭 Love to see Erin win games
Thanks for the Overview, just backed it. I rarely do Kickstarter, since most don't offer a german language version, but this one does and Lovecraftian themes are always nice ;)
Great review of a great game! I love this game so much I went out and bought 2 boards. Yes I had an issue with the pegs slightly leaning on both boards but this is what makes each board challenging and different. When I contacted the company they got back to me right away and told me how I could correct the issue. Everyone I introduced this game to has loved it to the point it can become addicting. Just a side note, tell your parents I said hi. We went to HS together and I played music with your Dad.
I was really excited at first and went to the site and even signed up for the discount. But then I went to the comments section on the Biñho site and just about 50% of the comments were complaints or issue with quality control. Everything from the paint wearing off very quickly to pegs being bent or crooked, to score track being out of line with pegs or illegible or lack of customer service interaction to the most complaints of the plastic goal not fitting properly and always falling when someone scored a goal. Of course there were others who either had no issues or didn’t write them in their review. I’m sure the people behind the company are nice/great people, but I’m really hoping they can address these issues and put out a more consistent quality product. I really want to play this and think they have a great game but I really don’t want to spend $100+ dollars on a product with that many issues.
Thanks for sharing that. I haven't looked at the reviews on the site and have only gone from the 7 or 8 people I know who have a board. I know one of my friends had a little issue with the paint that you mentioned. The quality of the pins surprise me that they would bend. I've been carrying the game around using the box, and I appreciate the space in the box to store it without messing anything up. The plastic goals do pop up from time to time, which could be improved. Thanks for sharing Ryan. The people I've interacted with at Biñho have been solid, so I hope these people are getting taken care of.
@@OneBoardFamily Yeah I just think it’s something g people should at least be aware of so they can make an informed purchase. My intent is not to trash Biñho boards or their company as I think their idea is awesome and I really want one but for me personally there is still too much unknown and not enough consistency for the price. As far as the bent pegs, one person mentioned an actual bent peg. Most others who talked about it said the hole drilled for the peg was not drilled straight causing the peg to lean. I’m glad to hear they are wonderful people and I hope they can address some of these issues and bring quality consistency up. My guess is that right now they are probably a small company but maybe if they had the opportunity to grow that could help? Who knows. I hope you enjoy your board and get some great experiences playing it. Who knows, I may get one one day but I think I will hold off for now unfortunately. Too many other crowdfunded games I’m waiting on ;)
Hey Ryan! As a new company, manufacturing a new dexterity with so many different types of materials, we have had our share of QC issues over the years. At first, it was the bad print, the next run it was crooked players, then it was bending issues. However, we do absolutely everything in our power to improve with each Batch of product we create. The growing pains aren't fun, but our customer service team is amazing and always makes sure to take care of any issue that a customer has with our product :) Hope to have you as a customer one day! - Nick, ceo/founder
@@BinhoBoard Nick, it is very nice to hear from you and goes to show that you do care about your company/product. I can imagine it can be difficult having seemingly unending issues at every turn but it sounds like you are definitely aware of them and are trying to fix them. I really appreciate the transparency and I honestly do hope to get a Biñho board one day!
I wish I had you as a neighbor. I'd totally invite you in to play, and then we could play Lizard Wizard after, and compare the two. Instead I get some psycho, swears-a-lot on one side and an old couple who cooks way too many foods with way too many onions on the other.
I bought this and we played it and were very disappointed. Its not easy to learn in 5 minutes like they say and the scoring was needlessly complex. The part about the leader card was not clear to us. And we had many questions we couldnt find an answer to. If u play a turtle card and you dont have any cards left, do u still collect a card from another player when u dont have any to give back? This wasnt a fun game.
@adrianaalexander5592 gotcha. Thanks for the feedback. As far as the turtle card, pulling cards from another player is not mandatory. In the case of not having any cards after playing the turtle, you are done with that round. No need to pull a card from another player because you would just hand it right back. I think the only thing I didn't care for in the game was the leader getting the +10 card going into the next round. It's really powerful. I actually love the scoring because it's one of the few card games that a person could lose the first couple rounds and still have a chance to win in the end. -Ryan
Thanks for the glowing mention, it was so nice to see you all again! Hope you have a blast playing and sharing JamSumo! We'll have to check out the Sea Shore, Megan loves tile placement games.
I've only played a prototype of Crossbows and Catapults. Concept will be the same, maybe some slight differences. The crossbow is obviously an added item. This shoots discs across the playing field. My opinion is that the component build for Crossbows and Catapults will probably be higher with a higher price tag. This set sold out at the show at $30 and I feel like the price point is perfect for what you're getting.
Not at the moment. It's 2 to 4 players and there is a thread in Board Game Geek that they are looking into a solo player ruleset. This would come after release.
